nope, the main nerf people refer to is the one where they made all the mobs extremely easy to kill compared to how they were

lowering damage dealt, lowering the life they had

if they added a removal of the level cap recently, thats totaly unrelated to the nerf most people are talking about that made sea accessible to everyone easily

    Amen!

Honestly all I see are hardcore players whining about how people can get or want what they want. God forbid that anyone but the hardest of the hardcore (which are obviously the most perfect beings of gaming) get the best of the best and no one else can achieve such a perfect place like them!

The elitism in this thread is so thick I could cut it with a knife.

me me me me me me me me me me me me me me me me me me me me me me
    <cut>
me me me me me me me me me me me me me me me me me me me me me me!

Oh look I cut it!! Woot!

Anyway I will agree that if you put more time into a game (As hardcore players do) you should get the best gear FIRST. I do NOT agree that if you aren't a hardcore player you don't deserve anything they have AT ALL.

Mid Core, which I consider myself, and Causal deserve to have nice gear as well but I think Mid core and Causals KNOW and RESPECT that they will have to wait longer to get it. At least I know that I do!

Of course there are also the Causals who feel they should have to do nothing and get the same things that the hardcore elite have. Which I call the lazy elitist, they have an elitism attitude, but doesn't have the high level character to go with it.

This thread should be renamed "The growing elitism and entitlement of hardcore players who don't want others to have anything."

Because thats all I've pretty much read on this thread. If a Casual or Mid core player does what they have to do and is able to get nice endgame whatever gear over time with their shell. If they have put in the time (even if its over time) and their shell/group gives them gear then its not entitlement it's patience and well deserved, just as hardcores get what they get because it is deserved.

Notice: I am usually a very nice person, I'm sure my shell will agree, and I believe in working together for a common goal. I believe in staying together and helping one another as a team, and my LS is my family... not a stepping stool to get what I want or to where I wanna go. I'm sorry this thread full of 'me me me me' just got on my nerves and I didn't say anything here to insult anyone, just saying what I'm getting from it.

Nothing to do with difficulty, as much as with a simple practical reason.
It was nerfed before the level caps were removed, then nerfed again by the level cap removal.

Just going to put this out there: Casuals don't necessarily mean players are bad, but there are soooo many bad casuals out there compared to hardcores that it's a stigma that you can't really get rid of.

Zenako also has a point. If content is hard it takes a long time to beat it because you'll keep wiping. Casuals complain about this so the content is made easier.

Can you give us a link to an example of this? I looked all through that thread and couldn't find anyone complaining about not being able to find four people.

There are plenty of unskilled hardcore players, too. More than you think, I can assure you.

Nope. Casual-friendly means that you don't need to be subject to massive timesinks/grind in order to obtain rewards (thing that is boring even to hardcore players, mind you, but some are still irrationally attached to it because it makes them feel somehow special).

The definition of "casual" has nothing to do with ability or skill. It's simply a definition of time-related involvment.

Harcore vs Casual = More time vs Less time

That's the main difference among them. After that you're not judging the group but the individual.
I have had casual friends that were more skilled(or just as skilled) as the hardcore players.

Skill =/= Time Invested(There are plenty of fast efficient learners with little time)

The only thing the hardcores as a group have over casuals is receiving items, levels, and etc faster.

SE can easily appeal to both by having a lot of challenging content BUT not adding huge dreadful timesinks(like standing in one spot for 20hrs).

Gear isn't even the issue. Content is. Casual gamers paid for the whole game -> the entirety of it's contents. Ergo, they are entitled to enjoy the whole suit of content. Exactly like you, me and anyone else. It's that simple.

This game doesn't nearly have enough content to even think about introducing some that can be enjoyed only by a vast minority.
