Got to say I'm loving the new menu style. The whole design looks a lot cleaner, nicer. Truthfully however, it doesn't quite fit the feel of FFXIV, it'd be better suited for one of the newer generation (Yes I know this is one of the newer Final Fantasy games but I don't mean THAT kind of newer generation.) Final Fantasy styles. It has an almost sci-fi space-like feel with its looks. I won't deny the new UI is very appealing to the eye of course. I'd maybe see this kind of UI used if FFXIV dealt with space travel or something far more modern.

I guess what I'm going for is if the world of FFXIII was made into an MMO this might be the UI I'd see used for it. But in the world of Hydaelyn, not so much.

Sounds like you just don't think the look of the ui doesn't fit, not the functionality. And if I am right in that assumption you could easily change that with the customisablility of ui

I honestly don't care what websites say, Hein is one of the main bosses in FFIII and the artwork looks exactly like him. Amon is a side boss in Eureka and has a different color scheme.
