I would just like to point out that staying below decks did not guarantee you safety on the FFXI boat ride, as the Sea Horror could in fact be pulled down into the lower cabin, where it would wreak havoc on all the foolish lowbies who thought they would be safe below decks.
I have personally seen this happen several times. :X

I want a train that goes from Grid to Uldah then goes through a chunnel to get to Limsa and if you take it theres a chance it goes Doom Train on you and you have to fight your way to the engine, have a huge boss fight for epic loots then you arrive at your destination.
I have to thank Square-Enix for the amazing job they have done recreating Final Fantasy XIV from Scratch. Especially the inclusion of Missing Genders which we petitioned for in good faith. This was proof to us players that the Developers are truly Sympathetic to our requests and that being honest and vocal can pay off with the amazing characters we have who are Female Roegadyn, Male Miqote, and Female Highlanders. Thank You SE, Thank You Community Team, Thank You Yoshi-P.
I would love to see something like Phantom train implemented. It's one of those obscure Final Fantasy elements that make it into only a few games. Perhaps put it in one of the other countries/continents that get revealed in an expansion so as to keep in line with the game lore without having to reshape Eorzea as we know it.
You don't need a reason to help someone~
I don't think the phantom train would be appropriate to the continent of Eorzea. Now, if we ever were able to visit the Garlean empire, I'd be all for trains. For Eorzea, though, I'd stick to airships and chocobos.
>.> What is the phantom train?
my 2 sence, boats in ffxi minus the manaclippers were machine powered. They were obviousely a little faster since, and correct me if i'm wrong ship in ffxi are wind powered. As long as the sea graphics don;t look shear moving at a faster pace idm, but what I seen on youtube it looks nice and idm it being safer... being stuck in a cabin for 15 min wasn't fun in ffxi. I always tried to sneak in the captains area so i can look outside as I traveled.
