You should at least take them off if you're going to be too lazy to level a craft to 40 and repair your own stuff

Lazy like spacebar smash 64? aka Crafting? Maybe if the system was designed better we could select what to have repaired. How often does ALL gear break at the same time? I got armorer to 17.. I had enough, hours of hitting spacebar, I don't think so.

It also seems like a lot of people forget or don't bother to turn off their repair flag.

Unfortunately, these days unless someone specifically asks for a repair I don't bother looking (despite the repair flag) because it's usually a waste of time.

Because the game allows people to set up item for repairs when they don't have the matter.

In my case, Sometimes I don't want ALL my gear repaired just 2-3 pieces, but the options are main hand + offhand / ALL equipped gear (armor/accessories). Which is annoying because sometimes you have gear at high % and don't want it repaired to wast gil/DM.

I wish the game let you specify a certain percentage on gear you'd like to be repaired. Say, anything below 60% is fair game, while anything above that shouldn't get repaired. (That's my personal rule when I repair other characters gear.) And secondly, since DM is only used for repairs, a DM bag or something to hold it all would be nice. Right now I hold all my DM in my bazaar and when I put use the automatic gear repair button I take down what I need.

This is just another screw up by SE. The game should not allow you to put up for repairs without darkmatter/gil. I've never understood why they allow this. Makes no sense.

I did this once, put an item up for repair, saw I needed g4 DM, went and bought it, shouted for a repair

Guy came along tried to repair it, said I didn't have DM, took off bought it came back and repaired my item
I offered to reimburse him for it but he said it was ok

Ok, pet peeve of mine that has now gone on long enough that I feel the need to join everyone else on their whinging festival and post on the forums.

I have leveled all of the crafts except cooking to 40. I have done so because I feel useful when I can craft, meld or repair things for others.

Every time I'm at a camp, or outside a dungeon, or in a city, or freaking anywhere, I check people who have the repair icon up. I do not do this for the small amount of gil that is offered. I do this because it sucks to have damaged gear and I like to help.

So far, 8 times out of 10 when I change classes to perform a repair for someone, they don't have the dark matter necessary for the repairs.

WHY? Why do you have all of your gear up for repair, but NO FREAKING DARK MATTER????

Please, for the love of all things holy, tell me why?

I have no Dark matter, but 2500-3500 gil as reward for everyone who want to repair my stuff in my bazaar.

Because people forget to turn repairs off and funny guys repair everything with 99% durability
