Live Letter III: Changes to "Crystal Shards"

In the live letter they mentioned something about changes to "Crystal Shards" in ARR. So I wonder if these means clusters/crystals are getting removed or something else is being changed a long those lines. If that is the case what kind of changes are we going to see?

I was also very curious as to what that meant. It seems like maybe they're doing away with shards?? (WHY!?) and just going to use clusters/crystals?

Nobody knows what it means yet, but I'm sure someone is upset about the information.

To be honest shards are a waste, why use 3-9+ shards when you can just pop a crystal or cluster into the synth? All they'd need to do is raise crystal drop rate in replace of shards lol.

Yoshi-P said he was going to make a Topics post about this in the future. We'll hear about it from him first before we get a dev post here.
