A video is a video, just because it looks cool or awesome, doesn't mean it is. I'm waiting to see for myself.

A thread can't be positive and uplifting and praise-filled without someone to throw out something negative. Some things never change.. hopefully that won't be true of the game, haha.

Yes, it's just a video, and I'm sure we all remember a time when we watched the videos coming out for FFXIV 1.0 and thought "I'm so excited". But the fact that many have been here for so long watching and waiting for this rebuild with loyalty and hopefulness means that "just a video" turns into something a little bit more.

I don't get why everyone is bagging on someone just for being a little bit more realistic. I mean, it's nice they released a video and all but it doesn't show or prove in any way that the game will be up to par. I still have my hopes that ARR will be good but I'm not going to get delusional about it.

I'm kinda proud the game I choose to stay and guard it become super nice...while everyone I know abandon it...

however, I also very scared about the result... too good -> lots annoying ppl going to come.
and right now 1.23 has nothing to do since dev team abandon the ship already, so I keep saying "ya let's wait for 2.0"

Theres not a problem with being realistic in this case, I dont disagree at all. But if you have a bunch of people in one thread praising a trailer, and then one person comes in and breaks the chain, then thats a mood killer. You will then expect that person to be bagged on.

I find it funny how Rokien is the only person who isn't allowed to voice his concern on the new video, when that's all he does in the first place. Everyone else who jumps to conclusions gets met with a "oh...but they have a legit argument!"

I don't agree with him on most of his nit-picking, but all he said here was he's waiting before claiming the second coming of Hildibrand. Stop hating him for the sake of hating him...sheesh.
