My favorite is sword saint. And no it's not the same as a pld, it's way better(FFT ring a bell for those who know how good Cid orlandeau is).

you could run thru the entire FFT game with just Orlandeau
I can't really Pick one. play DRK/SAM/THF/Monk. But i guess DRK is always my first choice:P
Black Mage/Calculator, best combo class ever. 0 Mp cost and instant same turn cast for very high damage.
Calling Orlandu a Paladin is like calling the Shadow Lord a Dark Knight, but worse.
And for those FFT fans out there, if you want to see real power level up Reis has a BLM to max her mag atk and sub samurai or even geomancer for instant long range destruction, without using a cheap calculator.
Calculator wasn't cheap at all, you had to put a lot of effort into making it a powerful class.
Where Orlandu is ungodly powerfu lright off the bat.
Why is Templar knight not on here from final Fantasy tactics would it not be awesome to use skills like aegis and gaffin?? sword breaker armor breaker sword skills now that would be an epic fun class.I would too, but I'd like some from FFT like Arithmetician and some others that have a very unique concept compared to any other class in the world of MMOs.
One of the ideas I had was for Musketeer to be a class and Cannoneer to be the Job. Cannoneer was in FFTA2 and is AOE ranged + Debuff/Enfeeble. Musketeer would be single target + debuff, so I like to think of Musketeer/Cannoneer as the ranged version of Marauder/Warrior except doing less damage and more debuffing.
As for the other, Musketeer>>Corsair, That can be done as well but I want to see some Job diversity from FFXI. I'd like this game to steer clear of FFXI as much as possible, not because I don't like FFXI (Which, I do like), but because this is an entirely different game and needs to be seen that way. FFXI is still alive, and still available for people to play.
I'd just like to see some new jobs with entirely new concepts, nothing original to FFXIV exactly, but just not too much borrowed from FFXI. I'd like FFXI to still be a desirable MMORPG, not try to get everyone to play FFXIV.
Red Mage has been my favorite ever since FF 1. Blue came a close second, however.
Using calculator makes me feel like a cheap $5 dollar watch from Walmart.
You spend 4 mins figuring out a calculation to blow up everything and in 30 seconds the fight is over.
Killing all the enemies on your first turn without moving takes away the fun of strategy.
And strategy is one of the elements that makes FFT one of the best FF games.
