Aether: the mystical equivalent to gamma radiation, making things grow bigger, faster, and meaner. Now available in Dalamud Red at select locations, limited supply only.

>.> have you guys seen the limit break trailer and how intact and the same uldah looks... I don't think Dalamud is going to hit that severely I think its going to be it getting to close scenario but don't forget the VIIth legion is still fighting even without their leader ,_,
"Thy life is a river to bear rapture and sorrow
To listen to suffer to entrust until tomorrow
In one fleeting moment, from the land doth life flow
Yet in one fleeting moment for the new leaf doth grow"
I live in Colorado, and we have forest fires fairly regularly every year. I can tell you from experience you would be suprised by what grows back in 2 years after a fire, let alone 5. Its actually very good for the soil and the surrounding trees and plants. That being said, I get what YOU are saying as well, and the best I can say is that yeah, its fantasy. I was also bummed by the fact that only 5 years had passed since Meteor. I was hoping to step into a brave new world where everything we had known was gone. Somehow 5 years just doesn't seem to do it for me.Only 5 years?
No, no, no. Wrong. Unless trees grow as fast as the common weed, there's no way that The Black Shroud is going to become a new forest after only 5 years after a MOON crashes into the planet. Also cities. Entire cities rebuilt after 5 years? Unless every person in all of Eorzea dropped everything and built the new cities from the ground-up for 24/7 in day/night shifts, no way are entire cities going to be rebuilt in 5 years. Especially Limsa, which is levitated above rocks and water.
While having only a 5-year skip is fine since our favorite NPCs will probably survive (Merlwyb and Hildebrand), it just makes no sense from a geological standpoint.
Yes, a lot can happen in 5 years, and assuming they could rebuild civilizations in 5 years, that doesn't excuse the plant life. Have you seen those trees? They look like they've been growing for over 100 years.

Yeah the time will be 5 years ahead ..and we will be in Eorzea .. but it won't be "our" Eorzea. Like someone said it will be an alternate world. That's why all the cities are in perfect condition. The wandering minstrel pretty much gave away the hint.
Also Atomos clued me in... he's opening his mouth and letting out beast from "another dimension" ... why would they add something like that at the very end if an alternate dimension didn't play a role.
SE has laid out everything for us. We're going to another dimension and it just so happens the story picks back up 5 years after we've settled in.

Well with aether all screwed up, and meteors crashing to the planet, and primals and the twelve and all whatnot going on, there's a lot of power and destruction flying around, so things could easily be plausibly altered that much in 5 years.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature...&v=-WvuW_5l6Q0 must be an alternate world / dimension cause im pretty sure its coming down. there will be no holy to save us ....
