Well judging from the difference between female mithra (from FFXI) and female miqote (from FFXIV), the mithras look much more feral than the more human looking miqote, so im sure that the male miqote would also look much less feral than the male mithra, so they will probably look like a smaller midlander hyur with cat ears and a tail and look a little more sly/tricky :P.i just hope Male Miqot'e (Manqo'te) doesn't look like this

I think the Mancats would look more muscular and feral. Also I disagree about the mithra/miqote think to some extent, FFXI catwomen looked more feral yes but I would say FFXIVs Miqos look more along the lines of a house cat (some of the skin colors make them look more human as well but some of them make them look more feline)
I wouldn't get too many ideas of what they're going to look like, guys. Given the fact that they've already said the actual rendering is done and the concept art that's been floating around, it's safe to say they're going to look relatively jovial like the female Miqo'te.
I hope they are cute and femboyish *fangirl* 8D
I'm not in favor of adding the missing gender races but there could be story quests that we actually see some of em as NPC's explaining why they are not joining the fight, like the cat man watever its name was in FFXI being too "rare". Its probably 1 guy for 50 girls, pretty sure the guy is real "busy" and don't have time to think about war![]()
In order to do that they would have to change the lore of the game, its not the same lore as FFXI. It already talks about the missing genders in the game several times and the only one they could maybe get away with not adding is the Female Highlander since the lore says they only really hang around Ala Migho. As for the Female Roegadyn they are said to be quite the opposite of rare, in fact one of them is famous and known throughout Ul'dah for her beauty and wealth. Male Miqote are also quite abundant, but they are kind of reclusive and dont really like conversing with the other races that much and prefer to adventure alone or in smaller groups.I'm not in favor of adding the missing gender races but there could be story quests that we actually see some of em as NPC's explaining why they are not joining the fight, like the cat man watever its name was in FFXI being too "rare". Lol, SE setting themselves up for a challenge there. As for the Female Roegadyn they are said to be quite the opposite of rare, in fact one of them is famous and known throughout Ul'dah for her beauty and wealth.
Really though, if they were to make some of these genders playable I'd rather have female highlander than female roegadyn. I think if they made her some kind of a female Viking-style character it would be at least somewhat popular.
I just hope they add all of them, the more diversity the better :PLol, SE setting themselves up for a challenge there.

I can't see female roegadyn ever becoming that popular. In that sense it is a load of work to appeal to a very small audience.
I think if they were to introduce some of them they should conduct a poll. If female roe&highlander are popular, implement them. If not, only implement male miqo'te as a playable gender and have the rest to be NPC's.
