I'll probably roll a Lancer or Gladiator in 2.0 to try the new starting areas and melee combat.. Not sure what race, though... Probably (another) Lalafell, maybe a male Miqo'te, or a Roegadyn.

Rise Against - TorchesThe angels dance like feathers float, they're here to see and to be seen,
The clock strikes two, the music slows and each one slowly dons their wings,
Once outside they all pair off and hand in hand they leave
But I'm still waiting, yeah, and I'm still waiting
I'll have to reroll (delete my main) if I can't change my name/server/race. :P

Red Mage, what exactly are they gonna do. I like the Conjurer but I have not started the Thurmatage, yet, however why is there so less in Mage dwellers FFxi had so many, that it was constantly learning new spells. Okay just saw Red Mage and I really liked my RDM on FFxi as well
Bastok
You know, I've never been really considering it up until this point, but I've recently started to think that I might delete my character and just start fresh. The only thing that I have from 1.0 that's irreplaceable is the goobbue, and I don't ever use it. (Plus I'll still have my Legacy status if I really feel like I want to prove that I was around during the bad old days.)
On top of that, there's going to be so much new stuff (especially low-level content) to explore -- a whole new world at that -- and I feel like I'd get more out of it if I did it on my "main" than on some throwaway alt. Making a clean break with 1.0 and starting all over with a brand new character to match the brand new game actually doesn't sound like a half-bad idea the more I think about it.
I really want to hit 50 on all war/magic classes so I can get focus on all the crafting goodies in 2.0. Also I'll bet set up to start any of the new classes and still be able to experience all the lower level content. In reality there's no need to roll a new character. But ive been eyeing up the female Roegadyns. They are going to be my new character if I get bored of crafts while I wait for the new classes to release.
Same here. In fact, I ONLY did Dragoon, mostly because I like the notion of becoming the best at one preferred class before just leveling all of them for the sake of doing so. My experience in FFXI has shown me that, if you do the latter, you'll end up pigeon-holed into one class (*coughBLMcough*)
Also, just my own mini-rant here: we don't roll characters in FF games, we create them. There's no dice involved in character creation :P
Changing race and name of my main. As much as it is appealing to start fresh to experience the new things, I feel I've done too much to go through that again.
I'll make alts for kicks to see how it feels, though.
I am rolling a new but keeping my current.
I've already tried and failed, when push comes to shove I start feeling melancholic about all the stuff I accomplished on my first character. So if anything what I want are server transfers so I can move to where my friends are playing. D:
Also I'm dreadfully slow leveler and my time spent here is like gold to me.
I'll be leveling Red Mage and Summoner (their respective class) from level 1 at 2.0 launch to experience the new story and environnements.
