For christs sake...sleeping dogs has some amazing marketing (published by SE). Its on site ads, banner ads, commericals, web commericals, media coverages. The fact of the matter was E3 coverage was a let down, 2.0 site was a letdown and Gamescom coverage was a letdown. I don't expect much at FF25th or TGS. SE! The game looks good, start showing it off!

There is no point in SE Advertising FFXIV:ARR untill 1 month or so untill its release, if they advertise it now they'll have people looking it up online, buying the current FFXIV then bitching about it, not good for business.

The reason why FFXIV is not successful at the moment is purely because it's not on PS3...Final Fantasy crowd are console gamers not PC gamers...

And do you really think many marketing companies give free press these days? You get good coverage only if you buddy buddy with the gaming press and buy ad space...just saying no spending money no good coverage...and um biased coverage at best...

I think you're right. It is a bit worrying that we're this close to release, and they still don't have good enough gameplay footage to show to the general public.

Not for their MMO'S Most FF fans, dont even count XI or XIV as real final fantasy's, taking in consideration that the main series has sold 100 million units, yet their 2 MMO'S have not broken 1million subs put together...... That should give you an idea of how much of NO F**Ks are given by console FF fans.

Guys the point is very simple:

They CANNOT MAKE STREAMING VIDEOS during a videogame party (not always) probably because there are contracts with press and other companies.

As a matter of fact, if you go checking other games videos like Fifa 13 or CoD: BlackOpsII (and dont tell me they are low on advertising and marketing), for now, you can only find material off screen with *crappish 480p phone camera* (cit.).

So for now, less NERD, take your swimmin suit, and let em work.
