will 2d grass kill ffxiv?

Who gives 2 shits about the grass come on...it looked awesome in the gameplay video and looked awesome in the screenshots...Christ man, do you want the blades to be broken when you walk over them? I am seriously in disbelief that there are people who are completely looking over the AMAZING differences from 1.0 to 2.0 like no animation lock, new zones, snow, jumping, fluid movement, no vanishing character when equipping items, CRAZY detail on everything (apparently not grass lawl...)

I hope the devs look at the grass threads and laugh or ban you lol...

There has been some discussion lately about the poor quality of the grass in 2.0. Compared to console games like xenoblade, it doesn't seem up to par. As a result, it seems a few people might just up and quit the game due to the shotty graphics. However I don't believe that 2d grass matters at all. The gameplay looks so amazing that I can't imagine anything being able to kill this game. It looks years ahead of its competitors, and even the jump effect, which will probably be really annoying, looks great. While I still think the endgame and economy is poorly thought-out, it honestly looks like this game will be fun no matter what. Therefore I think that how the grass looks makes absolutely no difference at all. People will play this game just to run around on a chocobo jumping up and down, and to explore what looks to be one of the most beautiful ff worlds ever created. CG trailers aren't even needed. 2 minutes of gameplay is enough to pull anyone to this game. I can't wait to see this game thrive, and I'm sure it will succeed no matter what.

maybe if you actually read my posts instead of trying to troll me you would realize that i'm arguing that it won't kill the game. However some people clearly think it will. I do not.

I like good graphics. What can I say?

If I see an issue I'll point it out. I'll also commend them for doing something good.
