Phantasy Star Online 2 does just fine with it's latency. The difference is the devs weren't inept and made hit detection client-side.
Let China have regional servers, and everyone else get global![]()

I prefer to play with my own continent instead of xenophobic Japanese who keeps saying "JP ONRY".
Anyone who says otherwise is obviously just a weeaboo obsessed with Japanese culture.

Regarding the EU server which we have right now i come to the conclusion that global servers are much better.
global server have the advantage that they are populated around the clock. you can always find groups. right now on the EU server i only can find groups in the primetime between 6pm and 10 pm.. before and after its not that easy anymore.
and the other servers seem to be much more busy.
regional servers have a "shorter live" than global ones. people get quickly bored when they can not form groups easily, and when there is less action on their server.
so my opinion is +pro global server.
thats one BIG advantage regarding to other actual MMorpgs. But SE is throwing this advantage away.
Its much harder to keep regional server full.
well maybe because they can not speak english?? or can you speak japanese?? auto translation doesnt help anything when it comes to complecated tactics.
european people can speak english (sometimes more sometimes less) but japs often cant speak english
unfortunatley not. Yoshida said already, that there will be regional servers -.-
i think they need to merge them right after release if it will be like in other MMorpgs.
