Maybe like 10 players, four from FFXIV, three from FFXI, and the rest from what ever other games they're trying to copy. Idk about putting people on staff to learn about other games though. That may be against international copyright law... If it is just stick with people who play FFXIV and FFXI.

They could consult them before ever doing anything stupid, and discuss with them what needs to be added or adjusted in the game. I mean, it's not like they would have to pay them much... How many of you would quit your job for a job to play your favorite game all day, even if it was just for minimum wage. I would.
Nonsense. They have ppl that play MMO helping them. Plus like yoshi said. You can't do both. Work at SE, and play an MMO 8 hours day. When do you sleep? Most of them were players before they got hired. When you get to work making games, usually you don't have time to play the games. Know what I mean?
