- I want to make a sword as a BSM, only to realize I need LTW, CRP and ARM leveled as well to make all the parts.
- Day 1...nothing on sale...nothing
- My duo partner started off at the same level as me and ended 2 levels higher.

Here's a whole list of "do you remembers whens" lol.
When level 20-30 leves would give you around 50k gill if you exchanged correctly.
There was a giant Malboro waiting to kill you in the clearing on the way to Quarrymill.
oh wait...
There was nothing in Quarrymill so you would never want to go there >.<;
* "Shadowlord" Server stress-test day, that was intense.
* Server population counter. (later removed)
* Mole camp outside Bentbranch.
* Ship / Boat crashing right into Limsa Lominsa's docking bay.
* Cactuars actually doing 1000 needles. (didnt hear they complain about being gimped down...)
* Sneaking into Aleport via the sluggish loading-screen by pressing
forward & forcing our way through the locked gate lol
- i mangaed to force my way onto one of the ship landing platforms
aswell near Skull Valley i think, called GM & asked me to get me the
hell off the platform...he suggested i teleported out.
(wich i couldnt since i didnt have any anima left)
* One of the Guild-leves went bonkers at camp Drybone,
where you had to kill a set of Dodos, the last dodo's just
vanished, so i made a GM call, got my reply everything was
working properly and nothing was wrong with the game....
lol doood...the dodo's they just vanished.
* Making GM calls or any /reply to anyone was limited to X amount of letters....
talking to anyone in tells was hell...back then.

I used to be Noomy...then i took shiva's Hail Storm to my knee...
The first launch week, there were people everywhere people making their homes in limsa and grid and uldah. Not everyone stayed in one city, each city had a good amount of players.
The player shops were used a lot and I remember looking for a weevil bow on the wards and couldn't find one found one on a players shop on the stairs in uldah, bought that baby for 750k easy!
Theory crafting items because nobody had any idea for high level recipes without doing crafting leves.
The level 24 leather worker tool was harder to make than the 32 one.

You guys remember SE saying that Final Fantasy XIV would have no level-based progression based on gathering experience points, but designed to utilise a skill-based progression system similar to that of Final Fantasy II?
Back when i started in the Beta, you would gain xp based on the amount of damage you dealt. Or at least when your attack actually connected. This was quite a problem for me as an archer since more then 50% of my attacks missed. Due to this, my other party members leveled twice as fast as me and i got behind in levels with every party session.
I liked the idea behind it, but i didn't like the actual implementation of it. I would've also liked to see a system where you would learn skills by using weapons which have one or more skills bounded onto it. Something similar to Final Fantasy 9. Then, after you learned the skill, you would be able to use it with your current class or with other classes which would allow the use of that particular skill.
In short, something like the Armory system with their classes connected to a weapon and learning skills assigned to the weapon by using them in combat.
Credit goes to Niqo'te for her fabulous art in the "Nique's happy fun time!"-thread and Nix/Capa for the Caitlyn drawing to the right. \(^_^ )/
Give her your support by liking their art!
When we thought crafters would have a place in battle.
When spam 1 1 1 1 1 1 was how to fight.
There was no guarantee of getting any SP (xp) from a mob.
Physical levels.
There were random super-high level mobs stationed right near the entrance of the towns, one-shotting newbs.
It was possible to kill something that was lvl 99.
You needed to be every craft to craft something.
All repairs needed their own special repair item.
You could only gather for so long before all your attempts would end in failure--OH WAIT THAT'S STILL IN THE GAME!!!!!!
