You don't get to get every single piece of gear or content in the game if you don't have the time for it, and there is a lot of gear that doesn't take too long to get that is just fine (there's a lot of level 40+ gear you can get melded with 1 materia that is good, the GC gear, some CC/AV gear, etc).

Thats all fine and dandy but they don't need to use RNG on everything to prolong every experience. They could instead change Hamlet to the following:

    - 12/24 hour lockout. You can only do it once per 12/24 hours.
    - Rewards 2 Hamlet tokens. Tokens are saved up to buy absurdly overpriced Seals used in relic quest.

You took the RNG out and you added a system where they are still doing the content over and over but each time they are getting closer to their goal... As opposed to trying to roll a dice and get lucky with drops each run. Getting all your seals from Hamlet could take you 1-2 days or several months depending on your luck <--- this is not balanced no matter what you think. There are two major instance of RNG that you encounter while trying to get just 1 Hamlet seal:

    - The actual seal drop itself.
    - If you're running with a PUG. You're hoping that the seal drops to you.

I think the people that advocate for this RNG system got lucky on their drops and they're just like "Fuck everybody else, I got mine." and would feel less superior running around and seeing more people with relics or militia gear. If this applies to you, you're an idiot.
