Looks like the people who didn't take time to create feedback tickets or entered in polls that were posted for limited time for collecting data most likely will not be entered that seems legit xD

I aggree with OP, but onestly I would refuse the offer to go info beta. Need to complete so mano tings before 2.0 that I want to stick to 1.0 as long as I can.
As much as I want to be in Beta, to be honest I think it would be nice to have random players into the beta...new people who will have the chance to experience the game fresh, and tell their friends (who more than likely: a. never heard of ffxiv or b. Lost all interest after launch)
I think, in a way, it will help with that advertising the game some people here on the forums were going on about.
Don't get me wrong, I really want to be in beta. And I am a legacy player, but I'm also trying to see this game succeed by any means necessary through the efforts of not only the game dev's, but the player base as well. And we need as many people experiencing this game as possible to help get it out of the hole it's currently in.
We current players already know most of the improvements that are coming for us. While people who don't keep up with this game know next to nothing, and probably wont bother without hands-on gamplay. That's why I feel it would help.

I can act like a new player! Pick me!
yeah i think any1 who stuck it out as long as the legacy players have especially ppl like me who have been playing since CB should be given 1st choice for if they want a beta spot for 2.0 i can kinda understand them getting new ppl to increase interest in the game but still we the ppl who been on the pay2play list a lil customer service would be appreciated
I want to agree with legacy getting 2.0 beta priority (as i am one) but i would rather people who will actually give feedback to SE where they need to improve instead of players who want to just play for a few days to get a sneak peak at 2.0 then not to log on to give feedback wasting a spot in the beta.
SE needs to deny the players who played first beta who didnt send a single report or did not play for over half the first beta and allow people who did give feedback the chance to get back in and obviously give new people the chance to give there feedback either if they play the game as it stands now or players coming from other MMO's.
It would also be a good idea if SE gave beta to players who have played a long time in ffxiv (e.g over half its life) since these players would have more idea's of what the game needs in 2.0.
We dont want a repeat of last time this would kill the game completly in the eyes of the gaming community.
well i just cant imagine that they just cut us off like that ... and i think the players who play since release are the best ppl they can get , cause they know the game the longest.
As long as the beta doesn't have a massive NDA I'm fine with not being in it.
This isn't a message I can support.
A lot of people seem to forget that feedback cannot be implemented right away in a beta. they would have to be doing beta tests NOW in order to be able to implement feedback for launch in january.
seeing the timeline of the beta, it will be to fix major bugs. test hardware compatibility. and to test the new servers. more than likely: That's all that will be tested. so the other objective of the beta is to generate hype.
Those of us already playing already like the game. hearing from us isn't gonna do crap to convince new players to come on board. IE: if i were to make the call i would make it at least 80% people who have not played the game or people who's account stats has been inactive for more than a year.
feedback on the new UI and content will be welcome. but in all reality what are they going to be able to change at that point? if it's not a bug it's pretty much as is. at the beta stage the game is pretty much complete.
It took almost a full year from release for the game to be playable. the timeline some people think of is ridiculous. you're not goign to be able to provide the kind of feedback you want. this is a beta test.
