    We've loostened anima to the point where other transportation isn't really necessary any more. Like someone said, it's become a good outpost warping system, which I pretty much exclusively used in FFXI once I built them up. Maybe they should just ditch the idea of airships as transportation from place to place within this vanilla game and make them more important in subsequent expansions. Within this game, just expand on airship and chocobo lore and add content related to them that is novel. Airship-related quests. Airship-related synths. Chocobo events. Chocobo goal-directed content. But we honestly don't need straight transportation right now.

    They shouldn't nerf anima once they add transportation. The game is in no state to be withdrawing features, as if we have enough gameplay choice here. It's up to them to design a point to using chocobos and airships if they are going to be this late to the game with them. Not to release them and say here here they are, we'll be taking that anima now thanks.

    I think Anima should be removed and they should put in an additional Chocobo service from each city-state that takes you to a certain camp in exchange for a varying amount of gil, depending on how far away it is. Maybe the option to warp directly to the city-states can be left in.

    It would still work for getting to camps, the city-states would have more people in them at any given time, and the Final Fantasy-esque 'feeling' would once again be present with chocobos.

    Of course, airships are a must, so I don't have to talk about those at all, right? Maybe just have them stop more frequently at each city-state, rather than waiting 10-15 minutes for the next one each time it takes off, like in FFXI.

    One thing, though: Why are the airship docks so far away from Limsa Lominsa and Ul'dah? Gridania's airship dock is directly below the Adventurers' Guild. That's mighty convenient. All three city-states should be like this, I think.

    I *think* those are extra docks. Ul'dah and Limsa have their own internal docks, they just aren't accessible for now.

    Why? It's like a more specific outpost warp and I never had a problem with that.

    Because with the current teleportation system in place, it will reign supreme over airships and chocobos, somewhat defeating the point of having them. That will also kind of take away from the Final Fantasy game this should be.

    Chocobos would do the same thing as teleports, only you'd be restricted to having to go to the city itself to access it (I'm thinking no anima limit for city-warp), and then you just pay for the chocobo ride, get a 10-second CS of the carriage leaving and then reappear at camp. It's kind of re-doing the idea and making it make more sense for a Final Fantasy game. I think it would work fine.

    Edit:
    Actually, I think it would work better, because depending on how much gil you have, you wouldn't be as limited to how often you can take the chocobos, rather than having to wait entire days to even use a decent amount of anima again. Then if you think you're running low on gil, just collect some items from monsters and sell the loot. That's fairly normal, isn't it?

    I want mechas to ride on!!!! D: ... think eorzea fits the addition of mechas like the old Magiteks and use them not only for travel but also to battle D:< , god i be always wanted they added those on FFXI T_T ...

    once we have chocobos, airships (and hopefully some other new transportation features)
    i hope anyma will be removed or restricted to leve quests only.

    Leve quests are casual and no brainer, using teleport fits well but teleporting all the time makes peole lazy...
    This days it feels like a great pain if i have no anyma left and have to walk to a distant camp...
    and it makes no sense to restrict yourself... sure i could walk for the sake of gamefun but i would feel stupid knowing that i could teleport.

    Just have SE remake FFVI for PS3. It's well-deserved in my opinion. I would love to play that so much.
