There is nothing more irritating than a thong with +50 defense in comparison with plate armor with just +10.

To be fair, Defense is completely useless on any enemies that matter in this game. I'm glad the gear is essentially worthless, in terms of battle.

1. Its a videogame.
2. Some people dress even more lewdly in real life, so how is this too far?
3. Have you seen the hookers in the Miner's guild? THIS IS AN ADULT'S GAME, expect SOME degree of content not fit for kids.
4. Some people like it/want it. If you don't, don't wear it.
5. Its equally trashy and possibly even more 'offensive' on male characters.
6. Equally revealing clothes have already been released and I didn't see you complain about that.
7. Look at the gear stats. It actually doesn't protect you very well.
8. Its actually CUTE on Lalafell rather than trashy. Try seeing it on some other races before you condemn it.

Jesus Christ, it's a semi-naked body. It's not a genocide. It's not SE burning everything and everyone you love. It's not hardcore pornography and it's not bibleburning or anything that can hurt anyone. It's not objectification because get this, the thing modelling it? It's fake. Not real. Polygons. Textured polygons. Nothing more. Nothing less. Even then, it's not like it's a chick with a nip-slip or something super unfortunate like that.

Doesn't matter if you crop it, if you use in game assets, then the image is owned by to copyright holder of said assets, the only way to make it legally yours while still using in game assets is to alter the image enough so that the assets are "similar, but legally distinct"

I don't think square will ever make strong armor this revealing, but some of the comments defending it are really bugging me.

I don't think anyone will really find it acceptable for people to be wearing this gear in a serious battle. It seems to me to be just enough defense that you can casually dick around in it in totally non-serious fights, and allow you to take a handful of pesky agro hits. Just enough protection to wander around in.
And have you seen it on Lalafell? Its even less revealing than the swimsuits. It sort of looks like a summertime nightie.
