You know what I think.. I think some people are overreacting, like no matter how Good the Trailer is in it self.. there's always got to be something they have to point out ( even if its little).
SE needs the Feedback. Okay sure.. but this Voice acting thing lead to three other pointless threads.
Either way VA was awesome to me.. drawed me into it.. I watched it 10 times already.. Behemoth on the Snowy hill... was epic!
They are not overreacting. And I totally agree with. SE , for not showing it a E3. Because of obvious reasons. At least they got it right. The voice acting wasn't on par with the epic trailer. I'm sure that they will get it right by the time 2.0 launches for real. You know what I think.. Do you seriously not hear his clammy throat crawl weakly through the vat of cliche'd monolouge?
The voice is too young and soft, but he's trying his hardest to make it deep and powerfull, but all he can muster is a muddy whipe. He's speaking from his mouth and not his throat, and a fake baratone is a nasty meal to the senses.
I'm sure his voice is fine for other situations, but here he sounds like a teen trying too hard to make a movie reel.

Thats exactly what i thought. I hope this isn't a sign of whats to come in the 2.0 voice acting....Do you seriously not hear his clammy throat crawl weakly through the vat of cliche'd monolouge?

SE ISnt stupid, but some points gotta be made about voice acting. A trailer narrator, needs a great VA. They need to ace it. Second, all important people at the game, needs a great VA. Ex; emperor, white and black raven, lousioux, Cid, etc..
This guy that did the trailer VA, would be ok for a non important person. For a narrator he fails.
It's a bit perplexing considering the quality performances by (most) of the voice actors in FFXIII.. Even the really whiney and annoying characters *cough*vanille*cough*emo/wristsboy*cough* were acceptable, IMO.SE ISnt stupid, but some points gotta be made about voice acting. SE: If you have great voice actors that can speak English Fruentry, by all means go for it. I'm sure most of the community would understand and could care less if you had to resort having only Japanese audio.. Please stop insulting us with this.. voice acting that is barely passable.

The trailer was cool enough to give me the chills. I don't feel this sensation in some good years already with games.
