I'm trying to do a survey. What are the top 10 skills you can't live without regardless of class? What 5 cross class skills are the most popular for the jobs? Are these skills top 10 for pure min/maxing or do they cater to a flavor/style of play?

I'm not a fanboy. I'm a fan favorite...
On classes, anything that will keep me alive makes my top 10. IE., 2nd wind, cure, bloodbath, etc. Because if I'm on a class it's usually because I don't have a healer. Otherwise there are generally only 5 skills that either can be equipped or are of any use what-so-ever no matter what job you're on, sometimes less.

Is this strictly for solo play classes? Because jobs have their restrictions.
In order...
1. Second Wind (Pug.) The first thing I equip when leveling a new job.
2. Cure (Conj.)
3. Blood Bath (Mrd.)
4. Stoneskin (Conj.)
5. Haymaker (Pug.)
6. Feint (Lnc.)
7. Decoy (Arc.)
8. Protect (Conj.)
9. Keen Flurry (Lnc.)
Invigorate should be in here somewhere. For DoW

I love having second wind, invigorate, blindside, and keen flurry on and DoW class or job I can use it on
1) Chameleon, because every single DD job in this game is required to have it in order to be competitive with damage.
2) Quelling Strike, see Chameleon.
3) Raise.
4) Sentinel, to take less damage from hell fire and aerial blast (primals)
5) Second Wind
These are the abilities that are pretty much required if you want to do anything harder than natalan parties at 50. especially if you need to use thm (which you will if you have it) or any real DD job.
How does Chameleon not make this list?

If this is in regards to which classes to level to be good in all scenarios, the answer is all of them. That's what the armory system is for. IMO, you're not fully leveled until all of your battle classes are at 50.
