7.4 is nothing to sneeze at, but it's nothing to get scared over either. A 7.4 quake and 1m tsunami warning over there is like a severe thunderstorm warning in the American midwest.

I'm not condoning Betel's tone, but his/her point is valid. Let's not make a big deal out of a fairly common event. There's already enough drama here and in Japan.

You are correct, Eekiki, I live in the UK which isn't very earthquake prone at all. It's just shocking for me though considering I've never experienced a quake in my life (20 years) and I keep seeing all this doom and gloom stuff written on headlines...
