Huge congrats to blizzard LS its a major accomplishment, I'm glad this took so much effort to finish I know my ls was at the 16 nail phase last night and probably will have it by weekend. Glad to see others taking it down.

Instead of blaming lag can we just say.....
NA/EU is 0.3 sec > JP?
Congrats Blizzard LS! Way to go.
Grats you guys!Blizzard LS on Gungnir just defeatd Ifrit (Extreme) a few hours ago. (7 NA 1 EU) We completed 8 relics (2 PLD, 2 WHM, BLM, DRG, WAR, BRD). Also have 4 more people on that stage (2 DRG, WHM, WAR) that we are rotating in now.
The fight is about knowing what & when Ifrit is going to do. Latency does not prevent you from winning this fight. If you are A) in the right position before he does a WS and B) do not get caught in animation lock when he does do that WS, then any reasonably skilled group should be able to avoid everything.
From that point it is taking down his horns ASAP or else get caught by some less avoidable WS's and having the DPS to burn through the nail phases. Practice makes perfect.
Please get over your elitist "I'm a better player than you LOLZ" attitude and realise that Yukiko never once stated that latency prevents her from dodging. She was simply stating (like many people have said over and over again in this thread) that the battle IS made slightly more difficult than it is for those living closer to the server due to latency issues. Get your head out of the sand.
LATENCY ISSUES:
Do they exist? Yes, they do.
Do they make the battle harder? Slightly, of course.
Does it prevent anyone with enough skill from winning the battle? Absolutely not.

Then stop bringing it up as if its render ifrit impossible, everyone knows there is latency, stop beating around the dead horse. Not pointing exactly at you btw, just in general for ppl that keeps bringing the issue up.
tested jump (unbuffed) on lv50 Drubbers. limited sample size and can't be arsed to do more, but...
33 jumps with garuda's beak: 30 normal for ~400-450 damage, 3 crits for 560-600
33 jumps with gae bolg: 30 normal for ~600-650 damage, 3 crits for 1040-1100
not bad. difficult to really tell how much of that is from the 'enhanced jump', though, considering the much higher base damage of gae bolg- as i'm pretty sure base damage has always been better for jump than actual dps.
maybe eventually i can find time to do better, more detailed tests.
