Future Endgame gear vs crafted gear with Materia.

HP build just means your a bad tank really... every single one of Coincounter's attacks can be avoided if you use your abilities correctly between his TP moves to avoid animation lock, having very high enmity and avoiding attacks can let your DD's go balls-to-the-wall and have 2min CC's. HDL is better, HP set also means your DD's are bad because they dont pull hate, and if your eating attacks its more stress on the whm's who could be keeping stone/aero up for debuffs to increase blm dmg.

I never claimed to be the best, but its about playstyle more than anything else. I find having to run from anything an insult to tanking. Am I a bit eccentric with it? Probably, but I asure you I have no problem holding enmity, its not really hard even when mages do get a bit trigger happy. I dont like running around like an idiot, I stand my ground. If I wanted to do that I'd play as my drg. You can say what you want about it, but If me and my LS are getting wins, why do you care how we do it? GTFO dude.

Why would I lie about it? If you really think it cant exist then you really should get your head checked man. This just proves that the other guy was right and you actually have no idea what you are talking about. And no, I dont think I will provide pics for you, you should probably just go to the AH.... (er oops thats right we have MWs instead, fun).... and look at all the multiple melded HP gear that I always see up there. Then get a calculator and total up the insane amount of HPs you could create, if you were so inclined.
And why is this thread still going, its clear OP has no idea what hes talking about when it comes to materia or craft or endgame reward..

And so far I have yet to be impressed about how SE plans to entice new players, get back those who left, and retain them.

I sometimes do wonder why I have stayed with this game for so long. I do like a lot of aspects of it, and I do have hope for 2.0 (though it feels like a fools hope). Becuase it seems to me if the Devs dont kill this game, this shitty and completely lost Forum community will. So I truly hope SE in the end will make the good decisions and save you from yourselves, so I dont have to stand by with the "I told you so" look on my face as the game implodes post 2.0.

Your attitude alone tells me you are probably terrible player with terrible gear that probably no one brings to do content with and has no chance to get HDLs to begin with, now you come here trying to say its a bad tanking set because you cant get it?

I dare you to proof me wrong with your 5.5k with food only and i will sincerely apologize, but i seriously thinks you are just a liar because to reach that point you would need triple to quad meld on every single slot available.

You are 100% completely full of it. You can not have 5.5k HP without battle voice. If you have 5.5k HP then my DRG does 20k Jumps. No I won't show you are SS. Go look at the AH.

Fourthly, there isnt really a good way for me to prove it, youd probably just think it was fake or something. You still wont get 5,5k hp on WAR without triple to quad meld, and taking screenshoot of your hp with available buff is enough prove. But you dont have it so taking screenshoot isnt an option to you, oh well. I will look it up at AH thanks!

I like the idea of materia breaking instead of the materia and weapon breaking. I've heard horror stories of people trying to double or triple meld the level 50 class weapons and gear and have em break only to have to spend days farming and spirit bonding to afford to make the weapon and get the materia again, but i suppose that's what makes it so valuable is that its so damn hard to make the "Best" stuff

Its not really that hard......

So you are giving a hypothetical situation because YOU don't have 5.5k hp. It is possible, not probable, but it COULD happen, just YOU don't. Matter of fact, on your PLD or even WAR (If you are an HP tanking war you are bad, so IDC about war since I'll rip off you in 2 nukes with all HP) IDK if its even possible to hit 5.5 HP even if you had quad melded tier 4s.

You do realize in order for you to hit 5.5k, you would need Quad melded HP gear or better which I can guarantee you don't since the HP you would need to quad wouldn't realistically be possible. How about you go look at the AH and pull at your calculator, because obviously you don't know what you are talking about.
