it's a shame that it only takes a few ignorant people to shut down a discussion thread. I understand that people don't always agree with me, but they often take the most silly measures to try and prove their point instead of actual discussion.
Hardly. You didn't explain why this thread is bad, you only made an opinion.
Fact: just because you don't like something doesn't mean someone else enjoying it has any less legitimacy.
How does that quote line up with that notion?
You really take things too personally; it's a fact: some people, in response to doing a task that they do not like, develop an artificial liking for that task. "I must like doing this if I spent all day doing it!" It happens.
It's also a fact that sometimes the feeling of delayed gratification is more due to the wait than the achievement - such is the case in many types of MMO grind, in my humble opinion. I, personally, would appreciate less of that. XIV can take that direction, and I'll take a different direction than XIV, no big.
Who even said I was talking about specifically you? I sure didn't.
Almost every single one of your responses is bascially "I disagree, so you must be completely wrong on every conceivable level." I wasn't even talking about you. It wasn't your thread. I didn't even notice you were there.
Why waste time attacking me? Argue your point, make your case, make this thread something that won't just get locked. Let's debate game mechanics.

(from the locked thread I didn't get a chance to post in)
Remember, he claimed we must have cognitive dissonance because we enjoy content (a leveling process in this instance) that he doesn't.
Leveling is fine as is.

Actually, I wouldn't mind if they made levelling take a bit longer than what it does now. I just don't care if they leave it as is, either.
And no, stating that everyone should wait for a rep's response for a legitimate answer before making threads like this is not an opinion. It's being rational.
You're the one that claimed people must like the leveling process because of cognitive dissonance. It's a good thing though the moderator deleted your post, isn't it?How does that quote line up with that notion? I wasn't going off what Rein said Yoshi said (I don't follow that thread), I was going off specifically of what people not liking the leveling process claim. Rational or not, it's still an opinion at best that you have.Actually, I wouldn't mind if they made levelling take a bit longer than what it does now.
