Payment Methods? Take my money? No? Ok.

For the sake of the argument, the OP could be having the same issue as myself....or it could just be a big troll...

My bank keeps denying the charges when i try to choose the direct payment method. I have contacted them about this issue and they insist that it is an SE problem. SE says the same thing about the bank. There goes that option for me.

Next was clickandbuy. Considering the bad rep they still maintain and the fact that when i was trying to set up an account, i had to call at a certain time of the day and it could not be on weekends really ruined this option for me...especially since i live overseas.

Last option was crysta....which i now use. Except, to use this option, i had to go to a third party vendor, prove i am who i say i am, purchase ultimate cards, apply cards, purchase crysta, apply to account then i could play. I run into the same problem when trying to buy from UP as i do when trying direct card method so it forces me to find other alternatives. Paypal was also not an option, kept on getting some kind of paypal express error or something.

Also, before i get flamed for whatever reason, I tried for weeks and weeks to resolve all these issues to no avail.

long story short, don't be rude to people and try to assist. You may not know the actual problem or story.

i'd say avoid click and buy at all costs.

questions though. are you in the US or a US territory? It's peculiar that paypal is giving you so much trouble. do you remember what your specific error was? also depending on your funding source that could be a problem. you can set up a direct route from your bank or using credit/debit cards. in my experience with XIV and XI, cards and SE just don't mix too well.

Here is my rebuttal for that. In the original post. which is quoted at the end. OP never stated anything other than just click and buy and the option to buying crysta. So therefore logically speaking we can only deduce that he didn't look into more than just skimming the surface. Now we can give him/her that benefit of the doubt however since the original post they haven't said one word or peep about it. Neither a thank you or to tell us all to f off. So we all have to go on the assumptions. Now for him/her not responding they could be busy or just said screw it all but again. It does happen and not saying issues like yours don't happen. But when it's not specified we can't tell so we go off of said assumptions because we are not mind readers.

I'm almost up with my 30-day free trial and I was looking into making a payment to extend my time. Now I am having second thoughts if I have to go through horrendous crap like this.
Other MMO's are MORE than happy to take my money. SE, why won't you? I'll let you automatically take money from me every month.

You must have missed the bright and shiny "credit card" option. There is one, use it. Crysta also works just fine.

Also, while I'm not particularly fond of C&B, your euphanism "click & steal" suggests to me you're just bandwagoning with haters and don't actually know from experience. Many people have used C&B without a problem. The main issue is some people, get charged international transaction fees from their banks. However, as long as yours isn't doing that, you can use it without a fuss.

If you don't like the cards, just use your credit card or pay with paypal? I used the crysta option from the moment they started charging until the regular credit card option was made available. Worked fine every time. I just put my credit card into the form, picked the amount, and done.

^This! I did not come here to randomly flame like most of you idiots think. I have a legit issue with my credit card. I am not a money person, I just know that I have a credit card that I have been using for several years now and it has worked with many MMO's. Just like any working citizen, I pay my credit card bills and make sure I keep a decent credit score. Any MMO is willing to take my money via credit card. Yet when I try to use this option with SE, I am denied. So I really want to know why the f*** this is happening.

However, I do apologize if my first message did come across as being "whiny", I was rather angry. It seems I will not be getting legacy status because of this CC bull. Thank you madolyn, for your response.

Yes, I apologize for not having made myself more clear. I was really just angry at the time that I posted. I never post on this forum, obviously, and I really care not to. The only reason I did was for this particular issue as I feel that SE needs to be aware that there are people out there who would like to pay them to play their game. But, for whatever reason, they make it difficult at a point where other companies do not.
