You do know that they have different people working on different aspects of the game. It's not like every part of the team drops whatever responsibility they have to work on a singular goal. I doubt creating something like this would hinder the progress 2.0 is making in the slightest.

Yes they do have different teams working on different aspects and systems of the game. And that's the thing, a Character Re-design option for 2.0 and one for this current version are not the same thing at all. While there is undoubtedly a team working on all things character creation for 2.0, you can be certain there is no one working on new character design options for the current version. Why would they be? Spend time, resources and money to appease a handful of people who absolutely cannot wait for 2.0 to be released in a few months ? Not likely.

And yes, it would hinder the progress they are making on 2.0 because they would likely have to pull someone off of something more important to create a feature that really isn't needed. Also, I am sure their response (whether true or not) would be that it isn't possible or it is overly difficult to implement with the current version.

I will say that I understand where you are coming from. I am personally happy with the appearance of my character, and have no plans to change it. But that is also why I understand how important it is to be happy with character, it is an extension of you after all. And you spend your entire gaming experience staring at it. But regardless of that, I don't think the Dev Team needs to be wasting time on this.

If its that bad just re-roll, or wait it out like everyone else.

They arent letting us change our looks because they thought everyone would just like a second go at it. They are changing character creation drastically. From minor details to new genders. They are doing this because the community would be super pissed off that they would have to remake their characters to take advantage of things that where not in launch.

So, wait or remake. The changes arent in the game yet, so there is no reason for them to let us change how our characters work. What would you be doing now if they never said anything about letting us remake characters? What would you be doing if they never even changed character creation? Would you just be quitting because "Oh no, I hate this super minor detail after all!"

No ones being rude or mean. You just are asking for something that youll be getting soon anyways. I mean, did you expect SE to just respond "Oh yes! We will put time into making it so you can remake your character in 1.xx just so you can change it again in 2 months!"?

So yeah, wait or remake. Thats not rude or mean, its just reality. SE isnt going to work on ways for people to change their looks in 1.xx, its a waste of time. Youll be getting the option to straight up change gender and race in just a few months, and be able to make a better looking character than whats possible now. Patients.

Yes, well, when somebody whines about something that is entirely their fault and asks for something that will be there for a totally different reason (to be able to use the new races that'll be introduced and to acclamate to the engine changes) then I'm easily enraged. Sorry if it unsettles you.

Not unsettling at all. Myself and others have already stated that it's the fault of the OP for their stupid decision.
I was actually asked "What would you change in 2.0?" the other day and replied with "I wouldn't change a thing, I am happy with my character's looks."

I'd like to change mine too, and have since before I hit 50 GLD back in the 1.18 days. For some reason I gave my character ridiculous sideburns. Back in the day when I was considering rerolling I decided not to because in general I am happy with my character except the sideburns and maybe hair and SE had promised barbershops I believe. So I figured I'd wait.

I'm very excited for 2.0's character creation and will spend a lot of time with it, however it would be cool if they gave us something small in-game to adjust our characters in the meantime... i.e. barber/tattoo shop. I do think it's silly to give us a full reform since theres only a few months left in this version, but I feel your pain lol.

XI's character creation had the problem that they didn't look the same on the creation screen as ingame...

I can see why you'd like to change your character's looks, OP (I wish I could change the hair on my Lalafell right now... >.<), right now, it would be pointless. Why change your character now when you're going to have to change it in a few months? It's redundant.

A barber shop would be nice in the future. But this would be an after 2.0 thing. 1.23 is all about the final 7th umbral story.
