I really like the relic system the way it is now. Easier then what it was in say ffxi or some other games... yes there is random luck in getting it! But it shouldn't be just handed to you. Working for something as good as a relic should take time and effort and a bit of luck! Think about when you equip your relic for the first time how much more rewarding it will be knowing it wasn't just given to you. Yeah double melding sucks... but if you really have that much of a issues with it farm up the gil and buy one premade. I'm happy that it doesn't require loads of friends and people farming currency for a small chance that a linkshell will support you. This is easily more obtainable to the casual players and also sets the good/noobs apart. Noobs are gonna be able to kill AV/CC mobs. Think about it getting this weapon means your in the top percentile. Like a rattata :O
