To the people saying only 1 summon per world!?!?!

I'm pretty sure they're not going to have 1 summon per world, but one of each summon per world.

I'm fine with the main primals being exclusive to companies IF we get similar lesser summons.

For examples:

Golem in place of Titan
Raiden or Quezacotl instead of Ramuh
Salamander or Pheonix as opposed to Ifrit
Phantom or Hades or Cerberus sans Diabolos
Unicorn or Seraph replaces Alexander or Carbuncle or Moogle
Sylph without Garuda
Aquarius or Bismark will suffice for Leviathan
Mateus for Shiva. ( I guess--couldn't really find a good replacement.)
Gilgamesh, Zodiark, Ultima, or Eden for Odin.

Other possiblities: Carbuncle, Siren, Cactuar, FAT CHOCOBO, Tonberry, Valefor, Fenrir, Brothers, Cait Sith, BAHAMUT, Kirin, etc, etc.

i really dont completely hate that there doing the primal thing this way but i hate that regular people will be able to summon a primal together but not a summoner. and i just hope they have good summonings for the summoner job, thats the job i want most and i dont want them to f*** it up.
and they better not make all the primals we have now wandering! thats so stupid, how is there gonna even be strategy with that, we cant get into possition or anything. the battle areas are gonna be nothing special then.

though it doesnt matter what any of us say because i've brought this topic up in many threads and have heard nothing from the devs or reps, clearly they dont care what we think about this. just like they dont care that everyone has a problem with primal drops not being passable and nothing is being done about it.

I really like the new proposed system, for the exact reasons Yoshida specified. It also allows for content thats a lot more fun for the server and community, IMO, than just treating summons like you would with some regular job ability.

This whole thing sounds epic and could very well be epic. I just don't trust players to not go around the intended purpose of it to exploit it. I can see one LS making multiple LS's to dominate as many of the Primals as they can. Intensely active groups will just have a cycle using multiple same group LS's and send 8 players to camp the Primal while the another group from the same LS uses the Primal to blow through a fight. They will determine when it is used so what is to stop them from counter camping to recapture that primal immediately. We will see what happens but I see this happening and a lot of complaints coming from it overall from smaller LS's. People should not have to be part of enormous LS's to have a shot at this but it looks like they are moving in that direction from what I have read so far on it.

sigh~ lets see... I played FFXI for 9 years... and my main job for those 9 years was summoner... now I did everything on Summoner the good...and the bad...(being a back up whm)... but I really did enjoy the job... No I'm not one of those horrible Yuna fan girls (worst summoner in the series) I respect the older ones more or less Rydia and Eiko~ I have to state my opinion on this because hey... I think I've put in the time on Summoner to actually make a counting post o.o/

Back from kiting 2-houring boss fights especially in cop to kiting mammets~ from soloing genbu (down to 40% at 75) ,_, to being useful against Kirin~ I mean I did it all on Summoner and was to stubborn to level another job for several years (mostly 2 until I took up Samurai but Summoner was still my main).

Now I can agree having lesser summons so they get a chance in the spot light I can agree to this but as long as we can get some cool looking deities... I mean I will miss having the main summons who build up the FF series especially Ifrit who was a personal favorite over the years even in FFXI when he was mostly an unneeded summon after exping when he got double punch...
The only propositions I'm gonna concede to are the following~ for the lightning elemental we get freaking Ixion >.>/ and make sure Fenrir is gonna be summon-able I miss my big wolf lug~ and then and for Fire definitely Phoenix...Sylph for wind~ Siren for water~ I mean I look at this as a chance to get new summons instead of the few we had back on FFXI... I say for new summoners look at it that way...

I'm sure we won't be screwed over with just tiny avatars like carbuncle and cait sith =p oh well there's my 2 cents now I can't complain~

Primals stay big, impressive and deadly.

They also become something most players won't even get to see (outside of the instance battle). They also become almost "too awesome to use" in the event your 'free company" does get to use one, that is you might end up never using it because you want to save it for that big thing where you need it most and end up never doing that because you might need it later.

Just have the primals say "I grant you a fragment of my power to use for the abolishment of evil', let summoners have their summons, and come up with some other too awesome to use thing.

Actually... really how dare they... If they really like the class/job and really want it to be in this game they would be keeping up on everything that comes out about the summoner or summoning. This thread would not have been made if he had kept up with the class/job because he would have already known that summoner (if/when it gets put in) will get the lesser avatar summons and that the primals which are like gods to the beastmen will not be summoned by a summoner. Also... crucify is so old fashioned I would do much worse and with more pain... also yes I would burn the house down though the eating of children no... you humans are disgusting filthy creatures... who knows where those things have been and when the last time they actually washed themselves... dirty dirty...
