Relic Weapon Revival (06/06/2012)

Could anyone explain to me how to get these? I've been out of the XIV loop for nearly a year now and have gotten back into it, pretty sure I'll stay a while this time as well.

People mention Hamlet -- Is that like besieged? Could someone just break down the steps for obtaining one of these?

You will need to attain an item from your GC for 25k seals
Then run Hamlet Defense till you attain 3 beastman seals from each of the 3 Hamlets (9 total)
Then trade these items to a NPC in Ul'dah (across from crystal) to start the questline

Hamlet is an instance where you defend a small town from beastmen with a party consisting of DoW/DoM/DoH/DoL

Those are Relics and not AF.. they wont be easy to obtain at all and since you have to finish multiple Steps and getting the 9 Seals is just the first, im kinda glad its "somewhat hard" to get.

Finally something to do, which im really after.

Relics and AF are pretty much the same thing. On FFXI Relics weapon could be called AF2 weapons too, since armor were called AF2 and could be called relic armor

I don't think SE will add something called AF weapons that are easier to obtain.

I think they are making up to PLD by giving us a sword/shield combo (gonna laugh if ppl start saying PLD Relic is OP)
Just gotta pick if I want that or the WHM staff ><

They might release level 3 hamlets with 1.22b? If they do I hope the drop rate increases. >.<

Even if they do, they would need to drastically lower the requirements or no one would reach lvl 3 in the first place.

When did the "Random Number Generator" game become "Hard" -_-

It isnt hard at all, Hamlet is easy as pie now for most people, people clearing 50-60k with breeze, crafting to be in top 20 is not hard, getting seals is not hard.

There is absolutely nothing hard about this, its just a pure grind fest based on random numbers so those who have binary luck will outdo those who are dedicated done hamlet over and over to try get just 1 seal XD.

it was mistranslated and they have corrected it since. it is 3 from each hamlet and not the 1 that was originally posted.
