    No because your spells will be weaker for the most part and will not do as much damage plus it won't heal as much and ranged damage won't have he same effects as other plus depending on the fight it may need to have a large def amount so no it would be a ninja in a fight and speced the way needed forte fight

    I completely agree but for the people that want ninja to able to dodge the attack and be a decent tank( I never said it would be a good tank) i don't want it to be natuto ish or anime-y ether.

    I agree but the ranged damage wo w as good (melee is where tw big DMV comes from) it for the most part will be for support dmg but it will have it (I would want it to lack behind archer mages and musketeers a good amount of dmg) sorry I'm just really bad with writing. And I answer the rest with my other replies I think if you want a more specific answer please just ask

    This is a bad idea. No job gets to choose this, its just a formula for the job system. Its actually the entire point, because if you get to choose anything then your playing a class.

    So if you wanted to be a Ninja the Focused on Ninja Arts You would Want to sub the Mage to help with stats (Ninja arts would Buff Tank / Debuff Target / DoT/ And then Any Spells the Mages had) [Yes the Spells wouldn't be as Potent As lets say The cures White Mages uses or the Damage that Black mage uses but! you can sue them so if you need exta Damage in some parts of the fight there you are to go if you need to defubb the target with a ninja art you are ready ect.. you Get the idea.. i hope haha] {Stats would consist of Mainly Peity and Vit int Mind(read the Stands and you will get why) a lot of different stats for a lot of different Ninja arts and the gear you would need would be very different form the other ninja type gear}

    All a ninja needs is this:
    GLA + THM

    Why? Gladiator give it a degree of defenses and enmity control to help it tank (if they so desire because physical damage dealing is still viable under this build. And thaumaturge to gain sanguine rite, which will help prevent casting interruption. In my guide I gave scout blind, paralyze, poison, and blink, which I believe are some essential magics in having a ninja, (or even red mage). To further that I gave it the ability to use 'ninjutsu' which is just a magic that shifts over the elemental wheel each time you use it it also reduces resistances. Since the wheel is very complicated I had to think about it and came to the conclusion that the wheels is perfect because it will allow you to hit two mobs with the astral and umbral sub-cycles in the elemental wheel.


    Now For if You wanted to focus on Dual wielding / Throwing Weapons (Simply you would be Attacking with your weapons to Do damage and weapon skills) [ Ninja arts would be used but not to use it against the target or towards some one else to enchanting your damage out put I.E. your shadows do not shield you but instead mage you hit multi times with a weapon skills (so you do not hit very hard because if you did it would be broken you do spike Damage) another I.E. When you hit the last part of your combo or the highest damage part use a ninja art to get it to get it to hit hard or multi-times what ever you feel is best.] {Stats would be Melee: vit dex str Throwing: vit pty dex

    Dual wielding should be handled as a class trait so its open to more jobs. In my guide it is available to thief, red mage, and ninja, jobs in XI that people commonly used dual wield with.

    Evasion / Armor / HP (Would Want good armored Fro def+ HP+ and Evasion and subs that help that) [This would use ninja arts to Help them increase Chances to Dodge / Parry / block/ And shadows to help them not take Damage for big hits) Pretty usual tank stuff] {Main Stats Vit ALOT ALOT ALOT of vit) Yes all one them have Vit as a main stat will unless vit doesn't help enchanting Magic (Ninja arts) WOW! that was alot of typing and im sure you where reading!

    LAST THOUGHTS

    I hope... And traits would be like to help sub jobs increase that and ninja arts ect and some other random stuff I'm sure.... Now I didn't read this over because it was a lot to type (I am pretty sure i got it all down correctly with the right ideas ect.) Any Things you would liek ot know or how i would further have it set up just ask me. (Forgot to mention how ninja magic would be used it based on your subs I.E Lets say shadows is Ninja Art If you sub are Mages Now you can use it to target people and give them a Few hits they can take/ Tank use your it on your self so you can take alot more hits/ Ranged / Mele you use it to let you muli-hit) [Ninja tols would be in your pack i would imagine]

    On traits I gave it the good ol' cast off cicada shell (utsusemi) This doubles the amount of shadows you get from blink, making you good at group tanking as this is what this game is about rather than xi which was more on mob at the time.
