Specifically XIV? Nothing, I've abandoned all expectations do I may be satisfied with whatever may roll along. What would be a big dissapointment?

It's only 4 conferences, two for an hour, two for an hour and a half. Heck Nintendo's isn't even until tomorrow, that sure is a big name in my book :P . The fact remains E3 begins tomorrow. Today is just pre-gamming for the event, it's not the event. The booths open tomorrow, E3 Technically starts today, they have all the conferences and stuff
Watch them live at http://e3.gamespot.com/press-confere...e3expo%3Bpress
We wont get any 2.0 today because this is just the big names conferences where they show off games and have like 10 minute talks/videos, view the names at the top.
To make it more understandable: It's the same in-game. Watching the Ifrit/Moogle/Garuda cutscenes at the time you zone in isn't the fight; the fight hasn't even begun. It's not until you begin attacking does the fight begin and thus, not until the expo doors are open to the public does the event begin.

Its still E3.... You know XIV in 2010 e3 was announced at a "Preshow" conference, right remember? Sony's conference... Does that mean it wasnt important and invalid in terms of "e3 news"?It's only 4 conferences, two for an hour, two for an hour and a half. While there is likely nothing FF specific for these conferences, it is still e3, you can still watch them, hear about all the games, most of which will unlikely be playable and shown much after. Along with hardware and future plans.
The Floor opens tomorrow, the Booths, that is when non Press can go and adventure and begin, e3 as a whole, begins today, with press conferences we can watch on streams.
5-7th is the official booth babe days!

Hmm what would be a big disapointment? Nintendo are keeping the name WiiU? hell they are even releasing it would be disapointing, gimme a good old controler rather than a cheap tablet any day.
Comes with controller, an PS3 + Xbox had a baby and made Wii U Pro Controller!

C'mon man, it's like you didn't even see me spamming the stream link in LS chat last night.

It wasn't during Sony's, SE had their own segment. It wasn't even the first XIV info, that was first released in '09 during Vanafest I believe, or was it TGS? I can't remember. They did mention some information during their pre-E3 conference but if my memory serves me, the real information came during interviews and CG displays after the doors opened. In fact I remember more information coming each day for the game over the length of the opened-doors time thanks to interviews. Its still E3.... I still maintain E3 doesn't begin until the doors open for the Expo. Today is pre-E3 conferences to get gamers pumped for the real deal.

My predictions:
Microsoft pats itself on the back over the success of Kinnect several times and spends most of its show demoing new Kinnect features as the core market rolls its eyes. Peter Molyneux will NOT get on stage here to over promise on everything he is making. Instead he will be over-promising his heart out on Spike TV
EA will be one of the more entertaining shows with a number of big name franchises demoed/new IPs. I am sure Epic will have something neat to show us if they haven't yet already.
Ubisoft will show us some new completely off-the-wall concept game, demo several new casual games, spend a while talking about assassins creed 3, and completely ignoreintrest and speculation in beyond good and evil 2(but it is of course "still an ongoing project").
Sony gives us a 10-minutes-too-long montage backed by techno music showing of all the titiels we already know are coming out. Interesting things here will be Playstation All-Stars Battle Royal and of course whatever Square Enix wants to bring to the table. Most of the silly developer flubs will happen here. Oh yea, also Ni No Kuni.
Nintendo will spend most of its time on the Wii u and upcoming 3DS library. Luigi's mansion 2 will be in there some where. They will also spend an inordinate amount of time talking about esoteric game design concepts that wont make much sense to you unless you have been watching trends in the industry very closely and objectively. They will probably also announce about 4-5 games for the core market and 1-2 games for the causal market. Don't get your hopes up for smash brothers, they announced that way to early and the team is still in the recruitment stages.
Also Nintendo already did a bit of a pre-show unveiling a social networking feature for the Wii U and a new pro game controller (that looks very close to the 360 controller). You can see that here

Come on man, lets not argue... I made a mistake tho, it was 2009 e3, and it was at Sony Conference. It wasn't during Sony's, SE had their own segment. And Sony Conference e3 2010 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xo39EG7sp7w
Conferences are still very important XD They show a lot.
Also read my post, I never said first, I said announced. We had known about it, but this was Sony's announcement at their conference! (Not to mention the first stating PS3 exclusive which was wrong lol)
