Lol No FFXIV at E3 .... But XV ?

Making FFversus13 to ff15 seems cheap, especially when they said they began working on ff15 back when ff13 was released and ffversus13 had trailers and announcements already, its like a cop out "oh shit we wont have ff15 done, umm lets just rename ffversus 13"!

One side of me says fake: Seems stupid idea but also recently SE keep coming up with stupid ideas so touche to myself! But then it said WiiU LOL no... if its on WiiU it would be on xbox much like ff13 and -2.

I want to say true tho, cuse its gaining a lot of publicity, its right time, and it makes sense why ff14 wont be big at e3, you cant have 2 major final fantasy titles at 1 e3.

Well, they did say a Demo was coming for FFXIII versus, like 2-3 months ago.. Maybe this is true.. its just FFXV now hmmm.

So I'm supposed to believe that SE printed out special invites for this event with "announcement" spelled wrong twice and them showing a trailer made of rehashed scenes from past Versus trailers with nothing new on it to announce a name change? Not only that but this is an E3 trailer so why is the CERO sign there? It's the Japanese rating system and it has no place in an English trailer. I'd also expect full English voice acting at this point and some gameplay for a game that's supposed to come out soon.
Sorry but this screams fake to me. Agito XIII being renamed into Type 0 is one thing but taking a spin-off and renaming it FFXV is a whole different matter. Besides there's a FF team that hasn't released a game in a while so chances are they are the ones working on the new main title.

Exactly.. this is far too easy to fake. A few college kids in an auditorium could do this in an hour or two. I think I heard about 6 voices in there max...

IF SE was actually renaming FFXIII versus to FFXV, I would hope they would have SOMETHING new to show in order to really have it make an impact with people - not a yawn-fest like that.

Something about this screams disingenuity.

Even if it's real, it's not made to be a core FF game. Everyone knows this. Simply slapping on a bigger name shows us that it's just a move to get more sales and to distance it from 13. That and to keep the streak of 3 FF games per generation. Nothing more than a cheap tactic made after the claim of wanting to bring dignity back to the core series.

I swear, if it is real, and they make some sort of dumb claim that it was always their intention to make this 15 in some way, I'll be a little more careful about what games I buy from Square.

Also, this video looks very familiar. Not the trailer itself, we all know what that is, but the small cluster of student aged audience watching an apparent leak.

Lol these noobs think they have business degrees. Pro tip: sit in your chair and play your game. Don't pretend like you know the first thing about running a business, unless this is actually what you do for a living. At least then you have an informed opinion. Otherwise, I am going to wager a lot a money that SE is far more educated about these matters than a majority of you pretend to be, and have made far more money doing this than you will ever make in 3 or 4 lifetimes.
