Dalamud is not an asteroid, whose with me?

In FF5 there was 2 planets that were spread apart and eventally towards the end of the game they become combined and become 1 planet. Well what I take from the artwork is when the Meteor shares down it will create new mountains and such made outta crystal.

Ya, I've mentioned this on another topic but there was also mention of how the XIV logo looks more liek X|V on the dalamud image.

IMO I am thinking it's related to those two FF games, where in FFX they had the Farplane which was pretty much a resting place for souls. In 14 we were recently introduced to job crystals which are crystal fragments that posses the souls of warriors of the past. I"m guessing as Dalamud gets closer the crystals will begin to resonate even greate and have some overall influence in the sense that perhaps Dalamud was created to capture the souls of the dead and then crash onto Eorzea so it could be reborn.

Then also in the same sense as FFV when the two dimensions become one, in this same sense its' quite possible that Dalamud's impact will be more of an aura that envelopes all of the planet to change it rather then an impact that'll leave a crater.
