FFXIV would get squashed in the coverage at E3, so their decision is probably smarter than you give them credit for.

Stop it will you.Only thing I was expecting was something akin to this:

Since it's a nice way to show off a revamped world design.
I'm tempted enough to try play FFXI again as it is.. An trying to avoid i would want to do everything in order not just zip to the end which will probably all but impossible to do.![]()
Expectations are now @0 sadly. I was so hyped up about what they had planned for e3 and it just kind of got pulled away at the last second...kind of a hollow feeling.

lolAlmost 100% positive Yoshida said they\\'re putting together a teaser site for 2.0, which is to be launched at E3. They\\'ve also said they\\'ll be showing the new CG trailer at E3, so that\\'s a given. Outside of that, we might see something else, we might not. Just going to have to wait and see.
10chars...
Even though ppl think its smart of se that's just the ppl who play holding on to hope. Now what to ppl who quit thinking it was bad? Oh se backed out of e3 they must have nothing. And those same ppl tell the ones that never even played 14 that it's bad and then they don't play. They should have showed something. And for those wait and see ppl who are gonna say wait and see in 2 months when se finally shows the trailer. This e3 incident is a perfect example of your waiting and seeing failing right in front of you.
Maybe it's because Tetsuya Nomura finally decided to show some more stuff on FFXIIIVersusVaporware!
...........owait.
Now this is a smart comment. How bad of a hit would it be if they showed the trailer only to find that no one was interested yet? The headlines would read "Very Little Interest In SE's new 2.0"
No no no, from the sounds of it, they are going to use E3 to build up more hype for the game and then show the trailer at the next event. I can foresee free stuff, because all E3 is about nowadays is swag.
When all else fails, Heck the Bed.
If they don't have much to show, then they're making the right decision of pulling out now instead of half-assing E3 and making a poor impression that they absolutely cannot afford at this point.
It might suck for us, but from the sounds of things we'll still be getting at least something around E3 time so we just need to keep being patient like we have been.
the way i look at it is if they don't have much to show by now concerning 2.0 how much do we think they can possibly get done between now and the time 2.0 actually launches?
