"We had planned to release a new trailer for version 2.0 at E3 this year, but instead we’ve decided to keep it under wraps for now."
How that equates to a CGI trailer only is beyond me, please do enlighten me.
That sentence says that the new trailer for version 2.0 is going to be under wraps until a later date.
Oh look. The public release version of 2.0 is set to kick off with E3. Yup, must be nothing going on.Originally Posted by Letter from the Producer XXVIII

Yes, FFXIV will be there in some capacity, but how do you know for certain that the entire trailer was ONLY CGI? For all we know E3 holds nothing but pictures and interviews now. Which is disappointing.
In short: We don't know anything that will be at E3, Except The trailer will not be their ( 25th times I said that probably) >.>.
The trailer which is what everyone was waiting for. Nobody cares about any more artwork.... SE's games never looked like the artwork and XIV is a good example of that. As for the interviews, nobody care about that either. He will still tell us the same thing as in the past interviews about how the work on 2.0 is going well and how amazing it will be and that we should use our imagination to see how good it is...

Because CGI is take a concept and then execute it. It doesn't revolve around systems being put in place and being ready. It's an entirely separate team.
