But can be a FFXIV 2.0 without a trailer? Something like showing info and a gameplay.

I'm looking forward to gameplay trailer, showing new UI, new redesigned world.
But knowing the timeframe they had, it will probably be #1, only CGI....
But also keeping my expectation even lower again, there will probably be nothing, only an announcement that they're working on it.
I called it last week!!!
F@!x E3 viewers, they would just get interested, buy the game, log on, not even realize that the amazing changes are coming months~ later, when everyone will have forgotten about the video by then, and then quit. Even though the video would have the damn release in september/october.

People seem, to just hurl over this line.... Even if its the Documents that we seen from the PDF's.. thats fine because When Company's go to E3, they go to E3 from Marketing. Alot of people havent seen the PDF's Or ever heard about it yet. While we may not see anything "newish per say" Just look at all the people at E3 thats going to see the PDF's ( if they happen to show it) and go wow.. this looks awesome.. then "keep tabs with the game up to its release).Well, the public release of version 2.0 is set to kickoff with this year’s E3 in Los Angeles. We also plan to unveil a brand new promotion site for version 2.0 soon after E3 ends.
Will just have to see.

Dont get me wrong I'm still excited even with just a bunch of info and as they said (hopefully) unleashing a flood of info.
But a trailer is also really important they alrdy lost a lot of players since the first day this game launched and E3 is a big deal.
They shouldve used it to their advantage and make something huge its a good opportunity to get ppl interested in the game more. :/ Since now we have Diabolo 3 out and guild wars 2 will be out soon they need to step up their game.
And like some folks have said dont expect too much from 2.0 i mean most of us expect itll be perfect and amazing but it might not be lol. I just hope they will manage to get ppl interested in ffxiv again like ppl were before the launch lol...

I don't think it's a PR guy but more of a senior manager that took this decision... the PR thing is just for public statement. I keep thinking how could they miss such a chance? And the only logical answer would be that the trailer probably sucked ass and if they would have used it to promote 2.0 it would have left pple with a bitter taste in mouth.yea, i was shocked a lil aswell.
i mean E3 is the best way to show new & old players what's to come in the future, and let's be honest, SE sucks at advertising their games otherwise.
i'm not pissed at not seeing a trailer at E3, i'm rather confused why SE let's such a great chance slip outta their hands, that PR guy that had the idea to actually not show FFXIV 2.0 at the biggest gaming expo must be fired immediately
Probably had too much 1.0 content as Yoshi-p warned us and it would have made it look as nothing changed for 2.0

I agree. I feel that the trailer may not be as "finished" as Yoshi claims. What he meant to say is he wants the trailer to show people that FFXIV 2.0 is a brand new game. Maybe better off calling it FF15 if PR is what they're looking for.I don't think it's a PR guy but more of a senior manager that took this decision... the PR thing is just for public statement.
