Ifrit's Pattern, Confirmation Needed

I talked to a rep about it and was told to just report it here, though I wouldn't quite think of it as a bug per-se. I've also talked with several other people on Balmung about it previously, and they agree that Ifrit's behavior and some of his attacks' patterns have changed.

I just would like confirmation about whether there have been tweaks made to the Ifrit battle.

If not, then reporting it as a bug with my latest Ifrit fights having been today in the last couple of hours (May 23rd, 2012 - between 2:30pm and 4:30pm I'd estimate).

Done Ifrit 2 nights ago and seemed normal.
Maybe whoever tanking was tanking in wrong spot or moved? that throws off the positions on other Ifrit moves and stuff.

I was tanking Ifrit, actually. If I know Ifrit from one perspective best, it's while tanking him.

I see, probably gonna go check on Ifrit tonight or tomorrow so will know if anything changed, I'm either Tank or WHM or BLM for Ifrit. 2 Nights ago was on tank and didn't see nothing unusual. Maybe server/client related??

Could be.

Personally, I'd just like confirmation and the reason why I never really made a thread about it before was because I saw just extremely minor changes. I've even recorded one fight from earlier today, gonna upload to Youtube later.

I can escalate your concern to see if there is a possible issue with Ifrit's behavior. We'll need a bit more information however, such as what Ifrit is doing differently from before. Also, I apologize for asking, but it would be helpful if you can fill out the bug report template just in case, for when the testers try to replicate the issue.

Understood; it's going to take some time to compile more information, but I'll be talking with my linkshell tomorrow to give an organized report.

For others, look here at the Radiant Plumes. At least two of them seem to have been bugged as Ifrit is standing right in the middle of them.

Edit: it appears some of those that were there have come to me and said they didn't see that happen after all.

I've done quite a bit of ifrit lately and haven't noticed anything that would actually matter. I've seen plumes pop like that after Hellfire in your video but I wouldn't really call it a bug. It can be that the plumes go off when ifrit is near the middle and he walks over, while with latency it looks like he pops them under himself. If nothing else, it's fun when he does unpredictable stuff like that, not like the fight is broken or is any harder than usual.
