    So when Yoshi-P said he wanted for FFXIV to be like theme park

    He meant it as in that we'd have to stand in line for hours?

    Because that's what I'm getting from Caravan Escort's design.

    Capped at 8 members, delay between one round and another? What annoys me the most is the hold up between rounds. If one round started as soon as one ended people waiting could sign up before the others warped back. That's be "okay".

    But just now we had to battle for drybone with two parties.

    Can't you just make it a higher cap and adjust the enemies based on the amount of players like old behest?

    It is possible they did not anticipate this great a player interest on it right now because it had been previously 'mostly' abandoned.
    It's good you bring this up to their attention, though, so they know it's also getting congested!

    Well. With the upgrade to rewards on caravans, things are pretty equanimous in the seals front. You could always still go do instances.

    Yeah, I don't think this is a real problem; for the reasons you sarcastically mentioned. FFXIV is supposed to be a theme park, if some ride is filled up, go ride another one. Waiting hours to join a Caravan is a waste of time when you could just alternate Caravan/Toto-Rak or Caravan/Darkhold. Content won't get as old as fast that way either. Rewards a pretty well balanced at this point, so you will get the most seals by just going to wherever has the least congestion.

    I'm not going to decide how I play a video game based on what other people are doing.
    If I want to do caravan, I'm doing caravan.

    Not to mention that you'd make more seals waiting in line for caravan currently than doing toto.
    Caravan is about 750 seals and lasts 8 minutes.
    Toto lasts 33 minutes, has a 15 timeout and with luck you get 750-1k per run.

    This must only be a problem for the Flames, I'm not seeing anyone at Skull Valley ; ;

    I went to Toto-rak last night. o.o Lockout was less than a minute.

    I think the 15 minute timeout is only if you exit the zone for some reason. Recommend going to do Toto-rak if Caravan is full. ^^;

    Edit: Additionally, once you really get used to Toto-rak, you can finish a single run in under fifteen minutes. o.o Doesn't take much. All you have to kill are the two bombs near the last phase two photocell for an ending chest, and any mobs guarding a photocell throughout the dungeon.

    Once you have your route memorized (two or three runs), you get into a rhythm of enter/15min/1200-2000 seals divided between two people/exit/re-enter. Half an hour of work at Toto-rak should always yield at least 1300 seals per person. @_@

    The irony, this is what happens when you have open world events, they get more cluttered then instanced events, yet people want open world events. Well lookie here caravans are an open world and it seems to be going just fine.. oh wait yea.. I guess that means instanced events are good XD.

    Funny, in FFXI you could do open-world events just fine, even with a lot of people because they were designed for a lot of people and the client and servers are significantly older than XIV's. The "irony" is that XIV can't handle it currently, but with 2.0 it should be able to handle it just fine. Proven with the imperial assaults near the cities they can handle open-world content, just not on version 1.x.

    I never kill any bombs in toto-rak yet still get all 5-chests, theres tons of things people say drop the 5th chest but I get it every single run and never kill any bombs.

    I can duo Toto-rak in 17 mins and on average we get 3-4 drops each, I can solo it in 25 mins and get around 6-7
