That mug sounds dangerous
OMG THE CUTENESS

The Community Reps should be given a round of applause for coming up with these type of events. Its not their fault; they are most likely told what artwork to use, sink or swim.
My concern is that the same guy who copy & pasted all the zones is obviously the same guy who copy & pasted all this art work ;P

responsible for what? overreacting fans that dissect every single word that comes from them and put it on a golden scale?
honestly no offense but the truth is i really don't care about this "issue" of yours with the exact wording that is used in the English post.
the German one doesn't even have that line
but you can brand them as liars that try to sell you some "old stuff" that a third of the player base most likely did not know anyway for new if it keeps you awake at night

Exactly! I don't think people understand its about the fact that they said it was "all new" concept artwork....the concept is not new...that art is not new....doesn't really matter if it's not in the actual game...for all you know its prob in the data files somewhere...The Community Reps should be given a round of applause for coming up with these type of events. Its not their fault; they are most likely told what artwork to use, sink or swim.

No, we totally understand, and we still think a lot of you are dumb for losing your minds over it.
Recycling old content? Since when do we have a behemoth in game?Square Enix:
September 22, 2010, Collectors Edition
May 16th, 2012, Hidden Artifacts
I wasn't aware that recycling old content and pretending its new development was a "painstaking procedure". With all the consistent hype about the release of Final Fantasy XIV 2.0, the least Square Enix could do is give the players some actual new development content. It is both disappointing and ostentatious of Square Enix to release the same concept art that came with the Collector's Edition as the 'new exiting 2.0 content'. While it might not be implemented in the game currently, It is something many of us have seen before. It only took someone 5 minutes to recognize the artwork...
I do agree that they shouldn't ressurect this CE, which costed me $90 almost , to be lowered to $20 bucks few months later. Jut cause it's just wrong. They should bury that because everytime I remember I wasted money like that, I get angry.

I agree with the OP, because I was fooled to believe that what was going to be revealed was something new, and something they were hard at work on, and anxious to show us. What a big let down. I like the idea of revealing a little piece of the puzzle each day, I thought that was clever. But when I saw the reveal, I was angry. I really feel they are just stringing me along for my subscription. I'm really sorry to say that, but that is how I feel, especially after that big lead up to hamlet defense and then to find out what big disappointment that is to me.
I am really at my wits end. I went back and looked at what is coming down the pike as far as content goes, between now and January 2013. It doesn't look like much to me. I'm getting very discouraged. I think they are dropping the ball, yet again, on this whole big 2.0. Making big false dreams, I'm not gonna take the bait on that one. I'm really not expecting very much anymore.

If you really didn't care. You wouldn't have responded. Don't give me that tired old line.responsible for what? overreacting fans that dissect every single word that comes from them and put it on a golden scale?

Your issue is with the fact that it's such a minor issue and people should shut up and get over it. Well it's not a small issue. Communication may the most important aspect of any development, and if you can't exchange information clearly and honestly, that's a problem. It shows us that they're fine with using fiction to hype their product, at least in English. Clarity and honesty is their responsibility to their customers.
This is about the company being honest and clear overall.
All I ask is for a clear response from the representatives to put an end to this argument. Just tell us what happened and I will be more than willing to look over it.
