If no players are new to the duty, please allow us to skip cutscenes in Praetorium

I've only been playing for about 6 weeks, but it's already getting tiresome having to sit through the same cut-scenes again and again when no players in the duty are new and have seen them before when I get Praetorium for my MSQ roulette. Surely this is a pointless exercise and we should be allow to skip them when this happens?

I understand that this could create a scenario where people will get annoyed when they get Praetorium with a new person but this could be remedied by granting extra experience points to compensate for the extra time spent in the duty or a similar extra reward.

That's what the roulette already does. The rewards were significantly lower when you were still able to skip all the cutscenes.

Doing this would literally cause people to immediately kick new players out just so they can get the rewards.

If you don't like it, do not run MSQ Roulette. You do not need to, and the rewards from it can be easily gotten elsewhere.

I think it should be turned into a solo duty event.

It wouldn’t be that hard coaches as it is already trust compatible. They can then remove MSQ from the roulettes and add something else.

I’ve long thought that Praetorium ought to be reworked further to relegate the speeches from Gaius and Nero to quest cutscenes, not part of the multiplayer duty. The antagonists from the ARR MSQ have long since ceased to be relevant to the current story, and we don’t need to see them over and over, let alone spend so much time on it in a dungeon run. But the devs did their one rework in Endwalker and I don’t suppose they’ll touch it again. I got so heartily sick of Prae that after I finished leveling jobs two years ago in Endwalker I vowed never to run any of the MSQ roulette duties again unless I was helping a sprout, and I have so far kept that vow.

I think the MSQ roulette duties need another rework to remove the cutscenes, and then just lump them into trials/high level dungeons. I say this as a non cutscene skipper. Unskippable cutscenes in fights should be kept to a minimum.

Best that it's a consistent experience.

If you just make it so parties with no first timers get to skip, then inevitably you'll have people kicking the first timers, which ruins the point of the roulette.

If you add more rewards to parties with first timers, then you'll have people dropping group if there aren't any.

The increased rewards from the roulette are there because it forces you to sit through cutscenes, and for no other reason. Just leave it be.

That's the one time where I find it completely reasonable. You're not getting roulette rewards, you're not there for the story, you're not affecting anyone else.
Though the bigger question is why those show up in WT in the first place.

I doubt they'll ever going to touch this place again. When I started it was even worse - Gaius was basically the end boss of ARR, and after his 6 minutes of idiotic monologue "me am the bestestest of all" he dropped dead in 30 seconds. "Cut scene" seemingly was the only ability this clown had.

To make the best of it, I use 4 timers on my cell phone:

• 1:00 - Intro
• 3:00 - Colossus gets summoned
• 5:40 - Before Nero
• 6:20 - Before Gaius

That's what Prae means to me: 5 minutes of actual gameplay and 16 minutes to do something else (fetch a new bottle of water, vacuuming, loading the dishwasher, ...). That's stupid for a game, but that's the way it is.
