    What I really want is a pirate themed, gun, and sword using phys ranged, but what I think we're getting is some kind of dual-wielding pistol job. It seems like there are a lot of NPC hints for a job that uses pistols. Spoilers. Hardiboiled uses a pistol, in Sugar Riot's fight, her battle stance is for double pistols, Demitrius uses a pistol, and one of the NPCs in the most recent Rising quest mentions being a 'cannoneer.' I think the next phys ranged will involve guns.

    If the the pattern remains true, then we should also be getting another tank. What I really want is like an engineer tank that uses a hammer, but I think there are possibilities of like a Rune Fencer or Spellblade as well considering the phantom jobs, and what we see of Corvos in the upcoming V&C dungeon, The Merchant's Tale.

    Lastly, I do think we could get Puppet Master as a limited job so each DPS role has a limited job. Blue Mage for caster, Beast Master for melee, and Puppet Master for phys ranged. In-game YoshiP being surrounded by minions in The Rising quest might mean something.

    By looking at our current job lists, a Prange is very likely since it only has 3 jobs to play. Now what weapon it would be, in not 100% sure, but It would be cool is a blade on a chain job a mix of Range and melee combat.

    A tank, it's likely to be the other job, I would guess a Hammer tank. If I were to have my wish list tank think an evasion Tank would be a cool option, a playstyle and abilities on dodging, and a lot more mobility, invun would be "execute a defensive maneuver and dodge most incoming attacks."

    sure they both are already in the game in the shape of dragoon spears. but at dome point there are little unused weapons left. and if you exclude all the weapons we have glams of that would be pretty restricting.

    also i wouldnt mind different jobs with shared weapons but different fighting styles. like summoner and schoolar nowadays. it could also mean a shared weapon glam pool for jobs with similar / the same weapon


    edit: tridents let me think of neptune. a trident fighter with water magic would be awesome... like llymlaen. could be a melee or a magic range.

    glaives could fit a really slow heavy hitting melee... or a heavy tank. (that could be a melee without positionals... also: give back dragoons and monks positionals xD)

    talking about polearms and llymlaen there is also halone who wields a spear with a small shield. thats another possibility for a tank
    ive been playing a lot of diablo 4 lately, spiritborn uses a glaive.

    they would be very cool.

    A new tank that also uses a shield would be pretty cool, although i hope they'd use a tower shield rather than bucklers.

    I'd rather have no new jobs, and them fixing the current jobs, giving them back an identity and also different play style. Thinking of tanks or heals here that are all too similars from one job vs another, versus when we think of the good old time.

    But if we had to choose, I think that tank and healer are the next jobs that we should have, there was 2 DPS on the last expansion so it would feels right for those player base to have their turn

    I think they briefly talked about Puppetmaster when BLU was announced way back, as limited job. But if it's more of Lulu's style it might be different since the doll is a weapon and not a pet.

    Still lots of weapons and combinations they could go with.
    2-handed hammer, shield+club, shield+spear for tanks.
    Dual pistols, sword+pistol, crossbow for p-range.
    Even though PLD uses 1-handed swords, could also see a Spell Blade use scimitars.

    I think it will be a physical ranged job and this is what I hope. I would love a corsair type job dual pistols would be nice.

    Dancer worried me because I loved it in FFXI and I did not think they could get it too work but they did and it is a lot of fun and I was so pleased they kept it as a dps. I do wish Dancer was more support as in bigger healing waltz and getting rid of poison etc

    I would love whips, even though I think they've said they probably wouldn't do it due to animations being difficult.
    Otherwise give me Puppetmaster, and let me yeet my automaton frames at everything!

    I'd love to bet on Chemist, but I think we'll get a tank job first. If you follow the pattern of job releases, this next one would be tank.

    Runic Knight is probably the most likely.

    A job with double shields wouldn't be too bad either.

    Still hoping for a mystic knight inspired tank with elemental infusions but instead of a scimitar I want a chain and sickle like ericthonios. I think swirling my chain in the air while gathering aether to imbue it goes hard from an aura farming stand point. You know how reaper gets to portal either forward or back? What if this tank could choose between yanking itself towards an enemy or hooking an enemy towards itself! As far as elemental manipulation goes I'm thinking we have the ability to imbue the sickle end of the chain with offensive augments and the pommel end of the chain with defensive augments. The sickle and pommel infusions will be independant of eachother .

    Example: Sickle fire = high damage gauge spender on each gcd , sickle aero = long ranged attacks that deal less damage but generate gauge each, sickle lightning fast gcd melee gauge building stance

    Pommel Water = your aoe damage reduction skill provides bonus magic resistance and a small regen, Pommel Ice= aoe damage reduction skill provides bonus physical damage reduction and a small shield, Pommel Earth Your aoe defensive skill retains its base magic and physical resistance (it will always have both resistances the last two elements just stances makes one stronger than the other) but reduces party damage taken per hit. Pommel earth should be used for multihit stacks, water for single hit magic nukes to the whole party and ice for single hit physical nukes to the party.

    For phys ranged im hoping for a whip or weaponmaster with Firion's kit from Final Fantasy Dissidia.

    I wouldn't mind having some of the pre existing weapons replaced like swap the greatbow for an arm mounted crossbow like Guts in Berserk.

    A chain whip like castlevania for a closer range combo like on shadowbringers dancer. it wouldnt be full melee but closer range than the crossbow.

    Throwing axe as a walking cast nuke that feels heavy and hits in an aoe. If the throwing axe is too warrior then I think handbombs like Nashu's from the hildibrand story would be a good replacement. Id be happy with both being in the kit to some capacity. perhaps handbomb can be a charged action and the axe can be a gauge spender.

    Anyway that's the core four weapons i want on the Weaponsmaster.
