Open world Level Sync

Can we please have a function that would allow us to level sync down to specified levels?

I prefer to level up from level 1 and get intimately familiar with the job I am interested in. Sometimes just reading tooltips doesnt cut it. Yes, I know I can learn my job in duty support or trust dungeons, but it would be nice to have the option on the over world too!

An added bonus for folks like me, would be to allow us to choose to start new jobs from level 1 as well instead of 20 levels lower than the cap for that expansion.

I know this is likely a thing the will never get implemented but let me atleast dream!

There is some value to this for FATE farming too, every time you get sync'd down, the game deletes all your gauge resources, making FATE farming anywhere but Heritage Found and Living Memory really annoying, letting you force yourself to a level range so you never have to click the Level Sync button would sidestep the issue.

The Palace of the Dead also starts you from level 1. You level up pretty quickly, but it’s a spot where you can learn the ins and outs of a job at low level. In addition, when I was leveling jobs I would run level synced duties (particularly dungeons) at the level of interest if I was trying to understand how a job worked at a particular level.

I would love to be able to level sync and grind mobs in the overworld for xp instead of having to just rely on fates and roulettes. Some of my best mmo memories come from xp parties where you just set up camp, grinded on mobs and had some fun chitchat while you did so. I made so many in game friends that way that it was crazy. Heck I still talk to some of them 20 years later. Nearly everything being instanced in this game, esp leveling, is a big big big drawback for this game

I don't see why not, nothing wrong with alternate forms of leveling.

Like RIFT! You can set your level between 10 and 5 below your current level. You can play at almost any level you like. And you don't lose any abilities.

I LOVED exp grind parties in FFXI. It was so much fun just hanging out with folks and murdering monsters in chains! Plus it let you have fun with various weapon skill and magic burst combos. Those were the days :P

I havent done Palace in so long I actually forgot about it!

No, I really hate when the mobs scale with us like it just means it'll be a miserable time from the start to the very end. Also, even if we were lvl 1, and the mobs were lvl 5, they have so little HP they would die so fast, anyway.

Also, if you're at the end of DT, then check out how inside of OC as the mobs there will scale with your Knowledge level and let me know how it goes since it takes forever to kill just one of them even at maxed KL.

They are not asking for a global feature to always sync you per area, they are asking for a function to willingly sync your level in the open world without the need of a FATE nearby, something that would have zero effect on you if you never used said feature.

I would love something like this. It would be nice to be able to just level sync down to a friend's level that just started playing and run stuff without it feeling like you're just babysitting them.

Very least make it so that we can sync up to the level of the lowest party member.
