SE, please add "No Story Mode" into the game

Let me be blunt: it's been over 5 years since I started to play this game. I really don't care about the story anymore. I just want trials and raids unlocked asap.
I'm not interested to do few hours of back and forth every major patch on multiple characters, and I'm even less interested in doing cringy roleplay solo duties with mandatory "oh I will help everyone then will face some big boss that will cast seemingly unavoidable fatal attack but by power of friendship and magic we will cast some giga spell and save ourselves". It was fun one, maybe two times, but when it happens every second patch it becomes outright annoying.

Please give us a button that will just unlock all the patch content immediately. If needed, sell "expansion pass" for like 20 bucks or something that will allow people who buy it press the button and have a patch completed.

Or at the very least, make solo duties optional. They are, at this point of time, nothing more than an irritant.

IMO, they would be best decoupling instanced content from the MSQ entirely. I think it would allow them to offer more in the long run.

It should certainly be an option for people rolling alts to be able to skip everything up to their last completed part of the MSQ on a character. There's already ways to go back and re-watch cutscenes/replay fights if someone really wants to, so its not like the alt is going to miss out, and some people may in fact just want to skip CERTAIN parts in the MSQ while replaying their favorites.

In my Opinion, it should be based on your account.

Basically if your account for example is up to Shadowbringers, you don't have to play the rest of the game on an alt to get to the Shadowbringers area. Your alt can just go there at lvl 1 for example.

It'd make it so much easier to have alt's rather then having to play through the story. Just make a new one, level, and catch up to where your main is. Likely with an EXP boost to help.

My issue is that Solo Missions are so bad nowadays.
It's either a piss-easy fight or RP as someone else with 3 buttons to do a piss-easy fight.

They have zero creativity.
I loved the one we got in EW, the one in Garlemald, but alas, people lacking basic skills complained so it was neutered. Am surprised the fight with Venat was allowed to keep existing as it did have some neat mechanics you could not ignore.
Heck those kind of people still complain with the DT ones, claling them "too hard" or "impossible".

And sadly SE scales everything around the most possible braindead player one could imagine.
No risks taken, no innovation, no interesting things allowed.

If you want to skip the story entirely, the only MMORPGs that really support that are Black Desert Online (BDO) and EVE Online. Neither has mandatory story progression or expansion gating, so you can jump straight into whatever content you want.

Some MMOs offer story skips that only let you skip to the start of the current expansion, not directly into endgame.

For alts matching your main’s power, BDO is again the closest fit. It doesn’t use traditional levels, and progression is mostly account‑wide, so new characters can immediately function at the same power level. Lost Ark has something similar with Powerpasses, and EVE Online avoids levels entirely, though you still need to train skills.

If you want a game that pushes you straight into endgame, Lost Ark is built around that idea. Leveling is basically a tutorial, and a Powerpass can skip it completely. Just keep in mind that Lost Ark rushes players into a long‑term gear treadmill.

Albion Online is essentially all endgame. It’s a horizontal gear‑based sandbox where the core loop is gather>craft>lose gear in PvP>replace gear>rinse and repeat. If you don’t enjoy full‑loot PvP, it won’t be a good fit.

For Final XIV this is a "wouldn't it be nice" that directly conflicts with the philosophy and goals of the design and development teams.

They did not even play test it. Speech bubbles are rendered at like 10 fps, noticeable when you move (or they thought people won't press wasd and read them every time sipping tea in gaming chair).

OP, I'm afraid you're asking for a completely different game.

I think a more realistic wish is allowing alts to have everything you main character unlocked regarding MSQ and blue icon quests, but on a business side, I find that hard for them to get by, as they'd lose profit on selling story skips.
