The snowy weather in main cities

Hi everyone.
With the New Year holidays approaching, I remembered something about the festive weather in the game's main cities. If I recall correctly, last year the New Year weather (snow) was turned off literally just before New Year's Eve — on December 31.
It seems a bit odd to remove snow right before the New Year begins, in the middle of winter. Could you please extend the snowy weather for at least two more weeks?

They have a separate event that follows the christmas event, for new year, and it's unlikely they will completely redesign the aesthetics of it when the patch containing the data for it is due to release imminently next week and will already have undergone its final build.

Oh. Right. But it's not about decorations, it's about weather. Maybe it's somhow can ruin cutscenes, but i guess devs can manage to set fixed weater on some cutscenes where it's needed, like the one with fireworks.

And also if not on this New Year hollydays, maybe devs can mange it next year.

It's fairly bad for them to leave the Starlight Celebration snow weather enabled for an extended period of time as it makes 4 big fish impossible to obtain for the duration of the event.

Did you know that countries that are close to the Equator Line don't have snowy weather?

I don't know the lore reason for why there's snow in Starlight festival, but it must be magical snow. Since it's basically automated to only appear for 15 days of the year, always the same days and then gone for a whole year.

No it isn't. Frozen region to the north, desert and tropical to the south. Eorzea has to be in the northern-hemisphere temperate zone, even if we didn't have the view from space to confirm that it's north of the equator.

I wish the FFXI team could give us that Jeuno Christmas song for the holidays in the Jeuno zone, and a orchestration.

Also Christmas remix for the main city states could be cool too.

I know it doesn't interfere with the Gridania one that requires Rain, because the game considers the Snow weather as valid too, but IDK about others
