The feast was a failed content. and full of WIN TRADES which is why they deleted it and never continued it.

Honestly, people say this a lot to downplay the feast rewards, and I think it's greatly exaggerated. It almost feels like a "If I can't have it, it needs to be bad and the people that have it need to be cheaters". That was not my experience.

For instance, S5 and S17 were the only seasons I played, but I never encountered (in EU) anyone doing wintrading. I remember you had to earn your victories, and it was rough for me personally. I managed to place in the top 100 in both those seasons despite being a not so great player, so it was with sheer dedication lol, which netted me both an armor set and a mount that I'm very fond of. The only thing I (personally) believe was very scummy was some people creating alters and taking a lot of Top 100 spots. That was terrible and should have never been allowed (you can no longer do that in CC for instance, but I don't understand why such thing was allowed for the entirety of The Feast). It is absolutely beyond me. Playerbase's behaviour wasn't the best either, there were quite a few bad apples spamming ignore markers when things did not go their way, but that's an entire different topic of discussion...

With that out of the way... I understand both sides here. The exclusivity of all these Top 100 rewards feels almost unreasonable, and I must admit, I wouldn't mind those rewards becoming available again, as I see no reason why PvPers in general get to keep the shiniest toys in the market (no piece of PvE content does anything even remotely like this...). It also wouldn't be the first time the devs say "we are gonna do this" and then they do the opposite some time later lol, so we are already used to it.

However, I also understand why most of the dedicated PvP veterans wouldn't want these rewards to be re-released, and it's also understandable, as it would take away all their exclusivity, and it would also be a bit of a slap on the face to PvPers working hard for the rewards back then (though I believe there are some PvPers that do not care).

However, I will also say this...and I mean, let's be real for a second here... the only reason why a lot of players want these rewards to come back is because they are no longer accessible. Make them accessible again and all these mounts and armor sets will automatically 100% fall into the "I no longer care about these" category for the majority.

TL;DR - I'll be happy with whatever route SE goes here.

I've never seen one who wears hell hound armor or mounts. same as the shadow stalker and shadow cleaver.

I do use my feast mount regularly.

But I don't have a horse in this race, I couldn't care less if they bring those rewards back for others to enjoy, and I also do respect the people that care about their exclusivity as a trophy.

Yeah, I've got big news for you, CC is also ridden with win trading at the highest levels as well (on EU alone 10 bans season 14, and at least one last season). I don't think that's why they deleted the Feast.

Yes, but I blame the game philosophy for that. PvE can have it too. I wouldn't want to punish PvP players, because PvE is lacking something. A small different item reward for clearing a raid tier within a patch/addon or being world first raider among the top30 individual registered teams (to avoid member swapping, like PvP had team registration ingame already - same system) on the server that cleared it, why not?

However, I will also say this...and I mean, let's be real for a second here... the only reason why a lot of players want these rewards to come back is because they are no longer accessible. Precisely...I guess collectors are crazy about them too...

Now we are at the point where old CC players want their old CC back. Where older players want feast back. And even older players want old feast back. And even some boomers who want 8vs8 and The Fold arena style back (which funnily I think would align the easiest with the current gameplay).

They fixed queue times, at the expense of making everyone a damage dealer and healer. This game was once seen as more classic RPG with trinity tank healer dps. Now in PvE you don't really need healer anymore lol. In PvP you are everything and nothing. I am not saying it doesn't provide entertainment, but it doesn't offer much skill expression?! I said it so often, whoever decided PvP was "too complex" at end of 3.x started the whole casualization trend. I hope the company got rich when getting all those new players 4.x - 6.x, because even those players are now getting bored by the simplicity.

I think average older people play this game, the target group often hates mobile games I think. They should stop trying to make FFXIV like a mobile game...I feel sorry for the devs - they are great, I think it is management failure, who thought a bit too much about value extraction and profit. You punish management by not subbing, and this is what I do since like a year. So long.

I've honestly always found Feast to be very high skill floor but the ceiling was incredibly low because it essentially behaved like a bastard version of pve where everybody was following burst syncs to the millimeter with specific game changing skills to always land at the exact same time and on the exact same target. And you did this ad vitam until someone finally collapsed. Honestly at first when I came into it I found it overwhelming once out of gold because I had no idea how the mode was supposed to be played, but after doing my research? Meh. Not a lot of skill expression beyond using your macros and following the burst countdown. Tank stuns target, ranged silences healer (or caster darts target), healer purifies, melee damage bursts target. Whew.

Yeah, bring them all back. They could even be added as random prizes in RNG boxes bought with wolf collars, I’ve got hundreds just sitting around with nothing to spend them on. Honestly, I could really use more armored glams too, since all the recent PvP sets just look like clothes I could pick up at the nearest mall.

As a new player (for a few months) to PVP, I would love to see those return to be able to experience the feast.

atleast we can trade slowly trophy crystals for older rewards. I hope they bring back older mounts that i missed out when iw asn't playing

In PVE nothing remain exclusive, everything become either given away for free or made extremely easier to get over time, I don't know why Feast rewards which were commonly wintraded in the NA/EU side (I know several people who made banks for selling them who are still in the CC community by the way) should remain something exclusive or a "flex".

At least on EU usually maybe 2-3 people per season were actually cheated/boosted so I wouldnt say it was common. Alts were like 10x more common
