Glamour Dresser/Plates 800/800 isn't enough... Please!

After cleaning out my glam dresser, I ended up tossing all the AF gear sets apart from a few parts I know I 100% will want to make plates with, since you can easily re-buy most from NPC. I'm grateful they do unique glams for each job, every new expansion, but it's rough for me to hold them all together since they're for 1 job only, and I only make universal glam plates to save time and energy.

Currently at 650, so I just keep the main tops of dungeon gear, hats, and maybe pants/shoes if it's unique or looks bad w/o a full set. I have the Vanguard stuff on retainer since I spent so much time getting the clothes. I want to add more weapons, but I feel like I always rotate new weapons, so it's not worth it apart from old relics.

However, I do disagree, and that SE is 100% forcing players to buy extra retainers, not even 1 more free one after 11 years since I started, and the 2nd chocobo bag being locked is terrible as it's much smaller already than main inv.

I admit I don't use each and every glam item; just a good portion is from AR, and they are impossible to farm for glams or non-leveling dungeons.

They can start with doubling the glam plates. There should be at least one glam plate available for every class, including DoH and DoL. They keep adding this great looking scrip gear but they don't provide enough plates to allow your adventuring and tradeskilling classes to have their own identities.

After that they can look at expanding the dresser again, since they already did that once though it is also a valid need. The glam plates issue is going to get worse as they add more classes, though, so should be addressed first.

This is so very true.
I have a lot of the class-specific gear just collecting dust since I can't wear them all, I had to use one of the limited glamour plates as a 'universal' crafter glamour for the ones that I couldn't fit into the current amount of plate slots being shared with battle jobs.

They just need to lift the glamour book from the mobile version, including how dyes work.

Even if it's not client side it could be. No good reason why this can't just be sorted in time for next patch. 1 per job (all disciplines), plus 10 liesure.
Honestly, there is so much jank, i don't the issue see the problem with just dumping this on the client.
Don't say multi-client either because the cross platform support is actually unplayable. Hotbars, cross bars, inventory, 1 sync per day.
I actually really appreciate all the efforts dev have made this expansion, right from the start. It's just tragic the mistakes they have made have wasted that effort by drowning them out. I mean kittens in bag rocks drowned, the mistakes have been unbearable. Just cant be ignored.

Glamplates, dump it on the client.
It smells to me like there are some devs that are just abusing the trust non-devs have in them.
"Yes we can implement account protection client-side! That's an option on the table!"
I don't see how people can ever be expected to trust competency again. I want to but I can only BS myself so far.

Glamour Dresser should be doubled to 1600. My retainers are holding my gear, that shouldn't be a thing. This increase should have been implemented in Dawntrail already. It's long overdue, as is increasing the number of glamour plates. The game and the store keep coming out with new clothes but we're given no additional space to store it. If the glamour dresser size can't be further increased then a new system should be implemented, like GW2's Wardrobe Storage which has virtually unlimited capacity.

Removing the job restrictions from most items would also help to free up space, as you'd no longer need to store 3-4 items which all appear identical but require different jobs to wear.

100% agreed. I have every pair of Purgatory earrings, even though they are exactly the same. I have the Star Velvet/Brightlinen outfit in there twice because one is caster and the other aiming. Plus all those Makai sets that are shared between more than one class.

What makes it more frustrating is that they have already done this in the past! But sometime around level 60 or so, they stopped going back and changing gear sets to “All Classes.” I know it would take time to go back and do them all, but since they’re going back into old sets anyways for the graphic updates and adding dye channels, this would be the perfect time to get it into the workflow.

You can't just do it once and call it done, because the number of item collections both ingame and on mogstation just grows. I always thought that 800 was more than enough for me. Poor me, it wasn't - now I'm at capacity having to choose what I put there.

I'm not sure if you know but the event and cash shop outfits can go into the armoire which has no limit and you can still use them for glamour plates.
