It's an insult to one's intelligence to have aggro icons and quest indicators and it's also an assualt upon the senses, given how much of an eyesore both are.

I don't see how that is an exaggeration.

You know if SE were the only ones investing in this game I do wonder if the original dev team tried to delay the PC release.

Which is why I don't enjoy those games nearly as much as I thought I was going to enjoy FFXIV. I'm not being a hypocrite.

I don't feel being a robot is needed to avoid reacting to disliked features in a game in a disproportionate way.

Just because SE is funding it doesn't mean it wasn't pushed out the door before it was really ready. I think it was a failure to communicate to the higher ups in SE "technically in such a large company the higher ups may as well be investors" that the game wasn't ready for launch and it got pushed out the door ready or not. SE still wants to recoup cash so I don't see where drawing the line between SE and investors is besides that SE is obviously going to put more cash to the plate to get the ball rolling than investors would.
