Difficult to decode that stream, but as far as I can make out I've done none of those things.
Meanwhile in General Discussion, people are trying to figure out why MMOs are dying, when the answer is staring them in the face in this thread.
With all due respect, it’s not about making the game easier. It’s about difficulty levels not adhering to their labeling. Besides, not all gamers are in it for the Elden Ring Everest-challenge, especially in a MSQ. Side quests? Absolutely make them hard. Field Hunts and Fates? Most definitely. That’s also why we have Extreme and Savage Raids. To satiate that desire in people.
And at the same time Square already accommodates by giving users things like the Spark of Hope. So even they know not everyone is in it for the extreme challenge.
Should the game be Dreamlight Valley easy? No. FF14 is by no stretch a “cozy” RPG. But a boss taking your health down to almost nothing on an unavoidable attack where your most powerful healing spell only gives back a fraction of that on Very Easy while making users use attacks that are never explained to the them (not even a break-screen tutorial) should be addressed while those itching by for a challenge will still get it on Normal difficulty.
However, I do disagree with extreme passion that after x number of fails, they should allow you to move on. No way!! There still must be SOME challenge.
ok, i'm clumsy, i'm really bad at games like Dark Souls (and i'm not going to play). What do i do in mmorpg? i try to dress up, save up coins and reputation to level up, craft to save up money, watch new stories, participate in duty. I like to go through dungeons with NPCs. i play mostly as a healer.
What should i do here? i can't get through this, i can't change class, i can't improve clothes, i can't do anything except hope day after day that i'll get lucky. Is this game not for me or what?
Have you tried to do it on Easy instead of Very Easy, as others have suggested earlier in the thread? Many have said they found Easy much easier than Very Easy.ok, i'm clumsy, i'm really bad at games like Dark Souls (and i'm not going to play). This was super helpful. I tried on Very Easy mode 6 times, but the timing to dodge the damage by getting to the pillar before he does was too quick. but I did it on easy mode instead and the timings were much more managable!I finally got through the instance thanks to some help from a commenter on a YouTube video!
Therefore, I wanted to post this here since it may help others as it did myself. Also, I'd like to say that advice like 'One key gives us heals, one does damage, and one does AoEs', again is NOT helpful. Most of us know that, but which one does what, and some buttons are more helpful than others as many will notice below in the explanation that a kind-hearted individual gave.
Anyways, onto what I hope will help people. First off, once again I'd like to say this is from a person on YouTube who was kind enough in the comments to explain the mechanics and how they worked best.
1. Before you even start, press the green button. it increases your max HP by 20% and restores it. Use this IMMEDIATELY and EVERY time it comes up, keep an eye out for it.
2. Spam only Tail of the Bra'ax, over and over again because this combo helps raises your HP. If you are too far away from him to do Tail of the Bra'ax, like running away to dodge an AOE, throw in some Beak of the Lautena, it does ranged damage.
3. When he raises his arms and has red flames around him, use Run of Rnoneek to jump him. It is the purple button with the three charges, also get behind him. Make sure to keep using Tail of the Bra'ax to get the combo and keep restoring HP.
4. When all the orbs start to light up, and you see a green one, run toward it, this little area will always be a safe Zone.
5, Dodge all the fire attacks by running around and using your AOE.
6. When he brings up the clones, he is the one with raised hands and on fire. Get behind him and keep spamming Tail of the Bra'ax.
7. Use your limit break EVERY time it comes up and do it IMMEDIATELY. Do this and spam spam spam Tail and use Laweteena pulse, your green button, EVERY time it's available. This is very important!
8. When the pillars come up out of the ground. Run to the one he created first, pay attention to the order they pop up, and run to the next two to decrease the damage taken.
9. When his thugs come in switch to the Turali Judgment instead of Tail. Just spam this over and over and over again. Make sure to use the heal button whenever it comes up.
10. After this is over, there is a timed event, and you will need to spam quickly the O button when it comes up.
if you are still having trouble, try upgrading your gear. i have a friend who was stuck on this for months. i just came back to the game after a 5 year long break. normally i have a lot of trouble with these kinds of solo duties. this one took me 2 or 3 times. for me, it was realizing to stand on the green orb and i got it. friend was not as lucky. i spent a good hour or two last night reading this entire thread seeing if there was something we were missing... and i realized no one was mentioning gear. you would THINK it would not matter because you are playing as a completely different person (and more than likely class), but it does sync your level/gear down if you are too high/well geared for it. i made her a new set of gear and she was able to get right through it. i imagine the stats don't matter so much as the item level

I'm not reading through the whole thread, so this is just in response to the first and last pages, but if Easy is actually easier than Very Easy, then something's wrong and needs fixed. Assuming it hasn't been already - given the age of the thread.

i love this thread
I have been trying the same part of the msq for 2 weeks noww. i even hit lvl 100 outside of the story and have my gaer score at 740, but it knocks you down to 665 or so. which the heals suck, and limit break dont work half the time. and here i was going to go wwith another char and level it up, but if one char is an arse pain point, then what is the use of spending any more money in the game, and time to call credit card company for a full refund due to unsafactory of the game.

I did this on normal on new game+ first try too remembering all Bakool Ja Ja's mechanics. I can understand how hard this msq is for some folks. If you wanna progress further into the story, just go do it on Very Easy. I don't judge people. If you don't want to progress and be stuck, that's up to you. Good luck.
