Chaotic is the exception here, the vast majority of endgame content gives you rewards that are marketboard prohibited. Savage gives you ilvl and a flex mount, neither of which can be traded or sold.

Ultimate gives you a flex title and weapon, cannot be traded or sold.

Ex i guess gives you orchestrion/barding mats, and maybe 3 expacs later a weapon glam, but the main draw is the untradeable/MB prohibited mount.

I'm not saying these things should be available to the marketboard, but if we are going to add more rewards, the one thing xiv absolutely does not need more of is flex rewards.

There is certainly way too many rewardsthat can be sold on the MB
Why engage with the content when those gil sellers that people are totally not using can lead the way

A thing here or there sure, but it's way too much

Like, why would anyone do content if they only care about getting a new cool emote? They will buy it at the market board and have their fun already!

So, giving us more glams and emotes behind some content (glams for the allied quests? Emotes with savage raid books?) and making them market prohibited would be very healthy for the game

And they need to also not being afraid of giving us some grind to do for market prohibited rewards, this is what makes people play!
The people that want to do the content will do it and the ones that were going to buy the rewards probably weren’t interested in doing it anyways.
Having more marketable rewards is good for the economy, and keeps the content alive since people farm the content so they can make monies selling the rewards.

Nah I wish every thing could be bought in marketboard. Yes you could say that people would then roll every single time for same item even if they own it because it could be sold but eh that's already happening with triple triad cards no? Just look at alliance raids. People rolling on cards they don't need just so they can bring it to npc to sell for 200-500mpg lmao or to potentially make sure that you don't get them.

Nah, they should add more stuff that we can buy with gil. Gil is pretty much worthless in this game. I'm sitting at 1B+ and have nothing to buy with it.

I’m so done with you raiders and your smug gatekeeping over shiny rewards. Square Enix, make everything tradable already! I’d gladly throw triple-digit piles of Gil at some wings just to spite you. Three months of crafting, gathering, and market board hustling is all it takes for me to troll you raid elitists — respect my endgame, too! And don’t tell me my Gil is worthless. Worthless? No, it’s called a Gil sink, baby!

I don't get the entitlement of some people who think they should just be able to get all the rewards without doing content.
I think it's a good idea to create more market prohibited items to reward players who do content. There should be some marketable rewards that everybody could buy but there should also be more market prohibited items.

The rewards don't even have to be for raiding. An example for what we already have would be the allied society quests, which have dances, mounts, minions, and furniture, all market prohibited, locked behind them. It takes months to max the allied societies to get some rewards. But somehow I don't see anybody complaining about those. All I see is people complaining about raiders, so it seems to me like people specifically just want rewards from doing hard content without doing the hard content.

If you are not doing the content the rewards are not for you. The rewards are REWARDING the people who engage with it which I think is very fair. Simply said, you don't get to have an ultimate weapon without doing ultimates. And I don't mind if they do this with more new items (while also still having buyable items).

Overall, the amount of rewards would stay the same for the people who don't engage with it but the people who actually do the content would get more ADDITIONAL rewards.

Ah yes, the noble gospel of ‘rewards are only for those who suffer through content.’ Sorry, but no — my content is the Market Board. My raid boss is inflation, my savage fight is bidding wars at 4am, and my ultimate is getting a stack of Dark Matter cheaper than your static!

If Beast Tribe (sorry, Allied Society™) quests can hand out mounts and furniture just for grinding daily fetch quests, why can’t Gil — the literal blood of Eorzea’s economy — buy me some shiny wings too?

You flex your Ultimate weapons, I flex my fat wallet. Different play styles, same game.
So please, respect my endgame: I slay spreadsheets, not Bahamut.

I much prefer marketable rewards. The motivation to do content should be that you want to do it, not that you want something. A reward doesn't make boring stuff fun. Sellable items also means that you can focus on doing what you enjoy to make money instead of being forced to do something you don't like for profit.
